Saying "Black lives matter" is not controversial! *rant*

Some in the police seem to be making a point of stating: See, we don't give a sh!t who you are. Young, old, Black, White, Latino. You stand up for yourselves, peacefully or not peacefully, and you need to be punished!

Edit: and the one thing all of these people have in common, is standing up for Black Lives Matter.

I maintain: One problem at a time, but they have made it clear that we need to change how our law enforcement takes action... 100%.

They had a peaceful protest in my town Saturday morning. I was at work knew some people that went they said a couple hundred people turned out we’re a smaller town

Our local news paper made a post on social media saying it was a good turn out and try to say some positive things about it. The comment section turned into a cluster f***. I’m ashamed of the area I live in, people are just never going to get it.

Looks like a lot of white people are now boycotting NASCAR after it was announced a black driver will be driving a car with BLM on it... but they complain and defend when people want the Rebel Flag banned from NASCAR...

I used to try to give people the benefit of the doubt on stuff like this, but quite simply, there's a lot of f****** racists around.

Bungie did an amazing thing to honor Floyd at the start of their big livestream and they had to disable all chat and comments because of all the racists "offended". Can't find a video of it, but basically it was an almost 9 minute screen for the time Floyd was killed and giving links on how to help. It wasn't even controversial in any way or mentioned anything political, but now the right wing is "offended".

You'd think the racists would at least lay low for a bit, but no, they are attacking more and more. They have tons of people and they know it now. Trump brought them all out of the shadows.

Yeah comment section on that NASCAR story wasfull of racist comments. Saw one guy say they hope a driver puts him into the wall.

I’ve noticed now soon as everyone tried to start forcing change and forcing white people to hear the problems facing black people in this country now they are upset not at the issues but because you are forcing it all out in the open in their face. Can’t hide from the issues anymore. I applaud the sports and companies making a stand f*** all these white people that have a problem with it.

I used to be a big NASCAR fan back in the 90s and into maybe mid 2000s but haven't paid attention since. Started watching again though since there's nothing else on and so good on them making changes.

There was a time when the drivers were unique personalities which made things interesting, now they are all just well polished corporate sponsors who happen to be good at driving a car.

Plus seeing the kids and even grand-kids of people I watched race just makes me feel old. :wink:
