Xbox Game Pass has made it possible for Xbox gamers to have a library of games at their very fingertips. Between Game Pass and four generations of game compatibility on Xbox Series X|S, there are thousands of games to choose from and play. With so many games available, we want to ensure there are also options when it comes to storage capacity and support to expand next-gen storage.

At the launch of Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Designed for Xbox announced the close collaboration with Seagate to expand next-gen storage with the 1TB Seagate Storage Expansion Card. Designed for Xbox has collaborated with Seagate once again, and we’re excited to announce 512GB and 2TB Storage Expansion Cards for Xbox Series X|S will be available soon in all Xbox markets.

The Seagate 512GB Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S is available for pre-order today from Walmart in the United States for $139.99 USD (US Dollars) and will launch mid-November. For other markets and availability, please check your local retailer.

The Seagate 2TB Storage Expansion Card for Xbox Series X|S will be available for pre-order in November for $399.99 USD and will launch early December. The Seagate 2TB Storage Expansion Card will also be the next product featuring the Designed for Xbox Limited Series badge, ensuring premium product quality, performance, and design.

I honestly use the smaller space to keep me from buying tons of games before I finish others. I got the 1TB on Xbox, but that's it. I kind of force myself to finish games before buying another one.

Lol NOW these prices are insane. A year ago they were in line with gen 4 drives on PC price wise it was OK. Now you can get a 2TB Samsung 980 Pro for 320 bucks.......

Need another storage company like to support console stuff to step up. *Cough* WD *Cough*

Alternative?

Was looking into this exact thing the other day and it's only compatible with a certain model OEM WD drive (2230 M.2 CH SN530, they use this model as the internal drive for the Series X) that is impossible to find retail and can only be found on ebay and they were 200 dollars for 1 TB. Not worth it at the moment

MEIYIN Commonly Used Game Machine Host Expansion Card SSD Adapter Compatible with X Box Series X/S NVMe Expansion SSD Storage Expansion Card Amazon product

Chinese company. Company has only 50 ratings. No reviews or ratings of the product itself. Ships directly from China. Is less than 30 bucks and doesn't even state its storage capacity. I learned all of that from just two clicks on that Amazon product page.

You should know better Karma.

It’s an adapter, it’s in the description (no clicks needed)

I didn't even ask for it, it was one of those "I know you bought the new xbox, you could prolly use this" type of things.

So she was being thoughtful at least. That's an expensive gift. I always think gifts should be something you want/could use that you wouldn't buy for yourself. Especially for adults that can typically buy what they want...
