I'm the weird person that likes those effects. I also like the soap opera effect on TV's. Lol
Film grain is pretty essential to a photo realistic image. It's all about how it's implemented. I hate CA for the most part. I really hate that TruMotion fake smoothing effect

Good ol JinCa trolling the Hellblade devs now lol

I actually agree with JinCA (Jerry!) on this though. Not saying it wasn't in game but no HUD, No targeting when throwing the spears,...it really just looked like a cut-scene IMO. I'd love to be proven wrong as the grfx look sick. Fact is, I was really hoping they would expand the combat system in H2 as it was pretty bland in H1. However, that trailer made it look even more bland. I know Ninja Theory has the chops as they did DMC, Heavenly Sword and Kung Fu Chaos. I mean it can be more realistic but give me some fun combos and move sets to spice up the action.

It wasn't a cut scene though, hence the salt.

It was a single 6 minute demo of a tiny part of the game showing off the graphics. This is part two of Hellblade so I don’t anticipate a huge change in combat. The focus is psychosis. I would welcome additional combat so long as it doesn’t ruin their story vision of the game.

I have played plenty games that have a lot of QTEs which really aren’t gameplay either. They are pre scripted scenes. God of War, Quantum Dreams games, etc.

It was in engine. Where the "supposed gameplay" is I have no idea.

It was obvious game play because it was still jerky when he was walking and throwing. They are still working on that. Unreal 5 looks real nice.

Obviously we wait for the final product, but if you are trying to show off a graphical showcase you wouldn’t have the button prompts or hud on screen for the demo. Also his specific tweet was in response to a different tweet saying “Everything in this demo is in engine, real time, no tricks. This is real. As such not everything is perfect. (yet :D)” It also explains the audio.

So the giant not having a reaction to the spears could be it’s just not finished yet and at times the player movement was janky just a bit to tell it was done by a controller. Especially the parts where you ran away in long stretches.

Eh. It’s an Xbox game. We should be used to people shredding anything Xbox related
Used to people throwing up valid criticisms. Yeah, you should be used to it.

Nobody has said it wasn't "real" but what they showed comes off as an interactive cinematic rather than full on gameplay. Senua's actions seemingly counted for nothing.

Yes, visually it looks very nice, but they did a piss poor job on the gameplay....again.

There isn't another game with such seamless transitions, nor another game that looks this good - despite it's flaws.

Combat will be much better with HB II. The lead actress for Senua trained for two years just for combat alone. This is nothing more than a vertical slice. With NT backed by Microsoft now, I suspect HBII will be NT unchained. I expect HB I ramped up to 10!

Dude, God of War has QTEs, but it also has very fun gameplay. I wouldn't lump that in there...
