I think this NBA2k thing proves that smart delivery isn't universal either, MS never said it was but a lot of people on social media seem to think all XSX games will support it.

Yeah it's looking like Smart Delivery isn't all it was cracked up to be.

Yeah, it was always going to be up to the publisher so MS shouldn't really advertise it as anything more than 1st party games just to protect themselves from any backlash. The other thing is people saying "Sony won't have it" well in a way that's right because as far as we know they aren't making any 1st party cross gen games so you can't have smart delivery without that lol.

Uh oh Smart Delivery is bad 🥺

Microsoft is working with developers to bring these games with the Series X enhancements. Personally I think it’s a good thing. Sony hasn’t said they are doing it.

MS already has a list they are growing with the enhancements including their own games. Where did Sony say they are giving free enhancements packs to some of their existing games? Only thing I have seen is they are offering BC and using the default “boost” in the PS5 to their games. Not adding and enhancements themselves.

No no bro.
MS made it sound like any game you bought in 2020 was getting Smart Delivery.

Them adding enhancements to bc games is a huge deal to me and Sony not talking about following suit is disturbing.

I think the Lochart is going to be $300 if it's going to be a lower spec machine. Originally, I thought it could be $200, but if the specs are higher and better than the One X, they would literally have to undercut the One X, and quite honestly, I don't think they're going to do that. Also, based on the rumored description and Microsoft's comments, it definitely doesn't sound like a Fire Stick at all, which is what I originally had my eye on.

I have a feeling the One X will be gone pretty quickly once the new machines come out.

I don't find it disturbing, they've been fairly strategic in the way they are talking about things, they know we have several months before launch so they seem to want to have something to talk about between mow and the fall. Plus I would guess if any PS4 games are getting upgrades they want to have the time to get them closer to complete before they start trying to show them off, don't forget MS hasn't had s*** to show for X1 all year and Sony had 2 big first party releases one of which hasn't launched yet. I do hope we get some first party upgrades, if not oh well at least we know they'll work on the PS5 but some upgrades would be appreciated for sure.

It will. Microsoft mentioned something about Smart Delivery allowing you to purchase games on your current Xbox and getting them free on the Series X. But they say that they will only supoort the current Xbox for 2 years. So that makes it rather obvious where they are looking at aiming the price.

If Sony doesn't match MS with enhancements it's disturbing.
Tick tock tick tock!
They already are losing in the BC department and this shouldn't be the case.
Sony started BC before MS(after Sega) and they have a HUGE library.

They have a disadvantage because they are a hardware company and MS at its core was an Operating System company. They've already had to have "backwards compatibility" for Windows when they don't control either the hardware running the executable or the program itself, so when they can work with fixed hardware they have much more room to flex.

Sony said they are focused on next gen experiences so I highly doubt a robust BC program and current gen enhancements are in the cards.

MS knocked it out of the park this year with Ori and the Will of the Wisps. Grounded is getting great previews, Wastelands 3, Halo Infinite, Flight Simulator is insane, Tell Me Why is also coming. All big games. Bleeding Edge kinda bled though.

If they are indeed making more PS4 games for PC it may help the chances of PS5 enhancements being added, if they are still having teams making improvements for the PC version anyway it'd probably be worth porting that stuff over for PS5 owners.

I would really love to believe that, but isn't that what a lot of his advertising has been surrounding when he refers to it being the most powerful system in the world? He tweeted of this, in fact. C'mon Phil! Don't get me wrong, the Series X is a very capable system. No one's denying that, but we can clearly see that by teraflops being echoed throughout the reports, that it somehow makes it a lopsided comparison. The XSX will show it's edge in key areas and so will the PS5, and i think Phil knows this now.
I think youre reaching. Series X will show a pretty clear advantage in visuals and render the SSD in the PS5 as not as big of deal everyone says it will..

Its super funny. Sony fanboys are using all kinds of things to make the PS5 look superior, if you read some of these comments. The only thing it MIGHT have is faster SSD, but I'll bet the Series X SSD will make it seem hyperbolic, all in all. I cant wait until these consoles are out. Alot of these myths will be put to bed. The Series X will be the most powerful console. Period. No wishing, twisting or mental gymnastics will change that.

Why the f00k are you saying it might have a better SSD?
Being a blind fanboy isn't a good look.
The PS5 does have some things that are superior to XSX but it isn't overall more powerful.
Still will put out better looking exclusives so any disadvantage will be null.

The XSX will have longer legs. It will age better. I’m sure Sony will put out amazing looking games but there will be a limit to what they can ultimately do. The power difference outside of frame rates and real ray tracing will show itself over time.

Its not that it’ll have a better ssd but the fact that things like texture sizes and other assets will be on a much smaller scale you could then in turn move more of it through vs larger textures and such. Or I could be totally wrong...let’s find out :)

So, you've seen the exclusives for the Xbox Series X? Wow! I guess now I don't have to wait to see what is in their July show....

Spoiler PS5 will still offer better looking exclusives.
Ohhhhkaaaaayy! And you're calling someone else a fanboy?

I mean we are talking a generation we have barely seen yet, with many studios' output we have not even seen yet. That's actually the very definition of a fanboy!

If they prioritize visuals over frame rate, physics and AI, thats possible. At this point with the power in the machines, I believe the very talented devs under both publishers results will vary more due to priorities than hardware.

Is hellblade 2 an xsx exclusive?

They don’t mention it their site...

But the wording on their description makes it sound like it may be.
