You can never be completely sure, but the preview builds (everything I've watched from E3 coverage demoing) for the Division, Witcher 3, Dragon Age Inquisition, and AC: Unity have all been Xbox builds as they have all included the Xbox button prompts while playing. I haven't watched any Evolve footage yet, but my guess is that it is also Xbox footage seeing how it gets content first.

That really does not mean anything. 90% of PC games today support the 360 controller and have the relevant prompts.

Which is why I said you can never be completely sure. Please take time to process what you've read before making comments such as this. I'm not stupid. I'm aware that most PC games support the 360 controller and have the relevant prompts.

That said, there really is no reason for them to demo the Witcher 3 or Dragon Age with a controller. Both of these games are games that many would consider the PC to be the lead platform, and they would expect it to be demoed with PC controls/hotkeys. I was surprised to see especially Dragon Age not using hotkeys. Just as an example, Rainbow Six was obviously demoed on a PC.

Again, you can never be sure though.

there was ridiculous screen tearing in witcher 3 stage demo on IGN(or gamespot, cant remember) so i think that game is running on X1

my my, bit defensive today. I did process it, but it still really does not mean jack s***.

For what it's worth:

"was surprised most of what I saw wasnt at e3. But I guess they cant show everything.

Maybe they are saving battletoads for later. Really hoping this is a 2014 debut but I guess it's up to the devs.

The halo I saw was a single player portion I didnt recognize. It was the player as masterchief in an impressively large battle with ships flying overhead. Very bright almost neon lighting was on ships and weapons. (no nothing like KZSF, more like Tron interestingly) It was very very grand and the backdrop was somthing I definitely never saw before. The scale of the battle was huge. I watched a 4 minute section of this played on an x1. It was all gameplay footage, and it looked amazing.

Its possible they remade a portion of h2a I guess, but im more inclined to believe it was h5 footage now. The test footage was untitled so I cant be sure, and the info I heard from the source I still take with salt.

The really impressive footage I saw was a new Ninja Theory game, also untitled, set in an asian old world setting. I thought I was looking at a VERY detailed cut scene until they started moving around and jumping. I was floored. The end of that gameplay footage had the player attacking a huge bear looking thing with a sword and a final attack felling the beast and several trees in the background at once. Leaves, blood and blossoms were everywhere.

1886 and QB didnt have near the fidelity and lighting this game was showing in real time. Wouldnt be surprised if it was dx12 footage tbh.

Anyhow, I was horrified PS4 was going to show that game off but it didn't make an appearance, and for that I'm actually really relieved.

It doesn't look like any DX12 games were shown this E3, which I know at least I was hoping for. But they can't show all their cards, we all know ths. MS will probably show the jaw droppers at a later date with which is very very exciting. "

Nah, just tired of the overall lack of reading comprehension followed by pointless posts. Also, it certainly means more than jack s***, as an interface showing Xbox controls is more solid than any lack of evidence towards anything else. If there is confirmation that these games were being demoed on a PC, then that is one thing, but without said confirmation, there is no reason to really think that they aren't being demoed on an X1 kit.

Can you play The Division Solo sometimes? I really doubt I'm going to have that many people to play with. The game does look outstanding though! I would hesitate to say the footage at E3 was not PC footage. It just looked too good. All this debate about Bloodborne and how it looks seems pointless. I'm sure plenty of X1 owners are going to want to play it. Looking at the gameplay trailer for The Order, I would say that the more realistic looking the game the less you will be actually playing. With as amazing as Ryse looked I was surprised at how much control you had. It did seem like your interaction with the surrounding environment was limited. I wonder how much player control we will have during Quantum Break. Probably not much. I WANT NO MAN'S SKY!

All in all it was a great E3 led by Microsoft who I feel came out on top.

The Division was being played on X1s on the show floor. We've seen very few "next-gen" only games at this point, so I think a lot of people are underestimating what will be possible with these consoles.

Its not clear if the footage is 360, but it make perfect sense to demo on the stage using a controller when the option is available.

1) Its an xbox conference, & a game design for console will have controller support by default. Silly not to use it right, especially if the keys are binded to 360 as well.
2) Its easier to use a controller than keyboard/ mouse on stage.

A lot of people play PC game with controller actually. In fact you cannot play Brothers if you do not have a 360 & compatible controller. I am sure many people, like myself, will also play Witcher 3, & other action game om controllers. The 360 controller is actually very popular & many serious games have one.

Valid points. I'm not talking about what was shown on the press conference stages though. I'm talking about the coverage that has been shown over the past couple of days through Twitch, IGN, Gamespot, etc.

My bad, then there are good reasons to show on Kb/mouse, but controller is still a valid option for most 3rd person games.

I thought so too, but i saw another demo, a much longer one where they showed much more and this was clearly PC but also plenty of screentearing.

Beyond Button prompts, there were some signs of it being the console version. The aliasing was a pretty big indication( not that it didn't still look great). I believe the Witcher 3, Evolve(especially, as I've seen PC footage, and you can see the difference in IQ), and the Division were all X1 dev kits.

The only one I'm really questioning is Assassin's Creed:Unity, because there wasn't a hint of aliasing anywere. Still, I'm positive Fable was X1(duh), and it's IQ was outstanding, as was Forza Horizon 2's.

I am not saying they are not on the X1. Just that the reasoning for the assumption is extremely flawed.

FH2's IQ is good to a point. A lot of the greenery looks like crap. Particle effects could have been better. Car models and quality are great though. I also liked some of the little things, like the driver reflection in the wind-shield.

Destiny: Playstation Content Are Timed Exclusive, Will Arrive On Xbox One and Xbox 360, Bad Marketing Sony

Bungie's upcoming sci-fi brand new IP, Destiny is scheduled to launch later this year for Playstation 4, Playstation 3, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The Playstation platforms will get some sort of additional content as well. It has just brought to our notice that this exclusive content is "Timed Exclusive" and will arrive on Xbox One and Xbox 360 as well.

Destiny's exclusive content includes: "Dust Palace: Three-Player Cooperative Strike, Exodus Blue: Mid Sized Crucible Arena and Exclusive Gear Set, Weapons and More"
Take a look at the snapshot of the Destiny's exclusive content listing for Playstation platforms below, you can also read term "Timed Exclusivity" as well.

Its really a "Bad Marketing" from Sony (some might call it Smart Marketing), using word "Exclusive" for stuff that is not exclusive. At E3 2014, Sony did the same thing, called most content as exclusive rather than "Timed Exclusive" for example: Sony's GTA V trailer cut out, the PC and Xbox One logo's and Grim Fandango is only a timed exclusive on PS4.

Sony also cut out the Logo for PC and X1 at the end for the GTA V trailer

Pretty sure all the big publishers have done the "exclusive content" thing with *timed exclusive right underneath. Or said "exclusive to PS4/Xbox" when it eventually ends up on PC, meaning it was a console exclusive. We don't know what other platforms Grim Fandango is coming to but Tim Schafer indicated PS4/Vita/PC on twitter.

There's no way anyone is putting their competitor's logos on an E3 conference trailer, come on now. That's ridiculous.

Sony paid for exclusive promotional rights to Destiny, which gives them sole right to link their logo with the Destiny logo. The Bungie-Activision partnership is a full blown commercial relationship, with a natural emphasis on profit. Sony, wisely enough, is going to milk this business endeavor for all it's worth.

Well look at that. Sony does all kinds of promo tie ins and moneyhat partnerships, while MS does the same thing with the most obvious one being Activision's other big franchise with CoD DLC timed exclusivity every year. The companies aren't as different as people think they are.

Sony is putting focus into Destiny as they probably believe it will be a hit game and they don't have any other shooters in their library that gets attention. Love em or hate em Activision puts a lot of effort into many of their frachinses and Destiny is one of them. So the chances of failure with Destiny is low. MS has Gears and Halo, Sony's KZ dies off quick and all those Resistance, MAG, Socom franchises are dead.

They are going after the same target using games, media, entertainment, apps and whatever else at their disposal (for example YT and Twitch feeds). Yet somehow some gamers actually think their motives are entirely different.

Serious question any talks about an update on changing the size of the snap screen? They changed the volum why can't we change to where it's half and half screen size?

The crew,so um is it like the entire US, so I could drive around in any city. Wouldn't mind checking out my hometown in Texas.

Am I the only one who got the Halo itch when they saw Destiny trailer? I'm sure I'll get it, but man just about EVERYTHING in that game reminded me of Halo.

Wow, Sony explicitly said that the additional content will only be available for PS4. I know MS also does timed exclusives but I always remember them wording as "first on Xbox". Sony lies again, no surprise.
