That's false. The 20GB HDD top of the line model launched at 399. You also had the option to add Wifi with the official dongle which was not an option for the PS3.
Actually you are correct I was wrong.

They did have a non HDD option but that is not the model I was referring 2.

The point was.. the 20GB PS3 was the answer to the $399 360.

I just saw someone on twitter try to turn the series X into one of the twin towers and they show the plane flying towards it. The trash can, refrigerator and table stand are all good clean fun but I don't know who would find them using a terrorist attack where people died to clown a piece of gaming hardware funny.

He left it open to interpretation and that's always a mistake, same thing with Cerny not specifically saying "hardware accelerated ray tracing" when originally talking about the PS5, most people jumped on that and acted like it was going to be software based because he didn't spell it out. As it turns out it is hardware accelerated ray tracing in the PS5 but people argued about it for a while.

Phil saying twice the performance can mean literally what he said which actually isn't 12TF or he could have said 12TF which would mean 12TF for the type of GPU they are using, we'll find out soon enough. Like I said before it's going to be very powerful regardless of what the final TF number ends up being and people shouldn't be disappointed if it's in the 10+ range when all is said and done.
Um, nah... I cant go with your post bro. Nor do I agree.

Xbox Series X Specs Quick Look
  • CPU: AMD Ryzen Zen 2 CPU
  • GPU: AMD Navi-based GPU (~12 TFLOPs)
  • RAM: GDDR6 SDRAM (capacity not confirmed)
  • Storage: NVMe SSD (capacity not confirmed)
  • Max Output Resolution: 8K
  • Max Refresh Rate: 120Hz

Perhaps the most incredible TFlops Im witnessing are the mental Tflops trying to spin 12 Tflops into 10 Tflops. That s*** is straight ridiculous.

My only fear is their storage, yes I know it’ll be fast because ssd but how will they handle additional or external storage? If I plug in my 4tb external hdd, to play halo 7, will it hamper the game in any way?

say what you will about the gpu and cpu a custom ssd will be a factor of its price, even for the ps5

So if all these web sites are quoting the Xbox Series X specs incorrectly, do you really think Microsoft wouldn’t say anything? That would be another bad look for them.

I guess if that 12TF spec disappears next week, we’ll have a better answer.

except it wasn't a good answer because it was 100 dollars more lol. That's why PS3 struggled mightily until they released the 40GB version at 399

Anyone else believe that maybe the SX will have a usb type c, along side the type a, that was visible but then hidden behind the controller in the promo vid

Once again NOBODY from MS has said 12TF that's all leaks and assumptions, it doesn't make it wrong but it's not a fact yet, you do understand though that twice the One X GPU with RDNA is not 12TF right? 12TF with RDNA is more than 2 times the power of the One X GPU or at least that's what people who know more than you and I are saying.

Playstation is sold in more markets/countries than the Xbox, no?

I don't know what markets only have access to one, not saying you are wrong I've just never heard this before. In places like France, Spain, Italy and Germany PlayStation has had anywhere from a 3-1 up to 5-1 sales advantage at certain points.

Yeah, and if it's 8k, it ain't running 60fps let alone 120. I really dislike this kind of mindless cheerleading. By all means be excited, but let's keep our feet on the ground... The 3000 dollar PCs can't do that. We'll, maybe geometry wars...

^ They are supposed to release a less powerful version no? I thought that just meant this particular console is the more powerful.
Dude left out the word "Xbox". Most powerful they've ever built... Doesn't mean it won't actually be the most powerful, but they aren't going to know what Sony is doing well enough to make that claim. Gamboa need to stop.

If the actual TF number is lower they'll just leave it out there, too many people will wrongly think that 10TF+ on the new GPU is weak compared to 12TF on the old one, 'it's not true at all but too many people (including some here) don't seem to understand that it's not an apples to apples comparison. I tweeted at Spencer but I doubt I'll get a response, I'm sure he gets hundreds of the same question every day and they may simply not be ready to give us an actual TF number yet.

That’s disingenuous though. I think we’ll get clarification soon. That number will either stand or it won’t.

This was made by a 343 employee 2 years ago using Halo 5 assets. It should give a good indication of what we can expect from Halo Infinite.

We'll see, he never said 12TF that's all people filling in the blanks on their own so that's more on the people who had access for not getting clarification than it is Spencer's answer. I'm not a tech head so I wouldn't have known to ask either but I'm not being paid for it, they are and should know better or at least some of them should.
