Shazam! Fury of the Gods

I'll probably give it a watch, but I certainly wasn't as excited for this one. Doesn't help that they created an original villain for this movie, which not necessarily a bad thing, reduces the hype for these films as people want to see characters they've only read in comics in full motion and on the big screen. It feels like a direction backwards for Shazam, and the disappointing thing is that his portrayal is pretty top notch and I do hope he continues to be part of the future DCU. I think James Gunn needs to schedule a big meeting because all this public drama is not good for business. End on more amicable terms and apologize for allowing things to get as far as they did. Even if they are no longer going to be part of the universe in the future, you don't want passive aggressive tweets flying around, let alone blaming fans who have been pulled along strings the entire time.
