She Hulk: Attorney of Cancellation

It’s a bloody TV show, they are against it in all areas, time, money, staff etc, Trust me I know 😊
I think people are hating on her CG look, cos she is so smooth. Thanos has skin imperfections etc so gives it a more detailed, textured, weathered look. She is clean and smooth so people think it’s not as good, as not as many bells and whistles.

She just looks bad. Plain and simple.

Referencing Thanos is interesting because he was changed over time since the first Avengers cameo or even GotG. I'm not even thinking of the quality of the modeling or the texture mapping, but simply the color saturation toned down. I think the look in GotG got a pass because Space is a very unnatural lighting environment. GotG Thanos didn't really Emote that much either so the expression Mocap wasn't really noticeable good or bad.

I think there is a Luminosity problem or they're unsure how to apply the fake 3D lighting. They're just making it match the non-CGI people around her, but deep green shouldn't light up the same way and I think it's come off a weird effect.

For example, Gamora is not as bright as Mantis. Now imagine if for some reason in Post, the Luminosity was bumped up to match for some reason. It wouldn't be bad 'CGI', but something would look weirdly Photoshopped.

I think the CGI model is basically fine, the Mocap for speech could be a touch better, something with the lighting is off. For a TV show I don't think it's terrible and maybe this is an early preview. Also, for what it's worth, Bruce Banner was a supporting character just appearing throughout the movies, while this will be the star of a show with much more screen time, so this is more demanding on the FX crew to sort out.

EDIT: It also looks like in this thumbnail Smart Hulk / Banner is toned down if not quite as much as Thanos, but they chose to have She-Hulk be more green.

EDIT EDIT: Ang Lee's 2003 HULK was also very Green and I think had some mixed results on the lighting. Newer Smart Hulk is not like this. You'd think would be sorted out by now, but maybe the creators of She-Hulk ( or marketing people ) were enthusiastic about emphasizing the green color not quite getting how tricky is was to make it look good.

I understand, I’m ok with it. But I think it’s just that one scane people point out that the reaction just doesn’t seem to move logically/normal?

To me it’s just the hair, but long hair has always been a challenge, the folk doing avatar just seem to braid it or have it super short.

But if you compare it to Jane in Thor Love and thunder, she’s either got a body double with lots of makeup on her arms or them arms be CG. Like when you compare Hers to Valkries arm, Valkyrie has like very fine gradual gradations and or like freckles and her arms.

With Thor the lighting kinda washes it out, hiding it, I guess.

But it may also be the lighting in said scene people are complaining about.

I don’t care, I’m watching this, hope it’s fun/funny.

It is funny, once you post pics everything you said is forgotten because she looks so bad relative to everything else.

I'll still watch it, and hopefully it improves before it airs.

The hair is what clearly f***s everything up, but even skin textures etc looks bad.... I guess it's the budget? Avengers and star wars (they did a true-to-life CGI Leia ffs) look looks mostly amazing but at the same time most likely cost a lot more?
The mandalorian had a similar issue with Luke in season 2.

And then there was gran admiral Tarkin in Rogue One

New trailer is better than the first one, the face still looks a bit off in motion but has improved a bit too.

I think it looks fine, but weird mix on the humor.

Otherwise, is there room to develop Bruce Banner as a character more or what? Or the real reasons why he had the Angry Hulk problem so long and She-Hulk never has this issue? Maybe explain the whole Prof. Hulk thing? Is that really all resolved now?

Would be nice to see him more outside the Avengers stuff and probably show up in Thunderbolts?
