I really wanted to like this first episode. And there were a few moments that I enjoyed, but overall it game me shades of THAT version of Ghostbusters.

Can someone take the Hulk rights off Marvel please.
He deserves so much better.

I read an apt comparison to Lt. Worf on Star Trek: TNG. He's supposed to be a strong badass fighter, but gets trashed all the time. It's a lazy way convey to audiences the threat level of new characters.

But yeah even aside from being Nerfed, a lot of character development for him was cut from Infinite War / End Game.

Marvel doesn’t even own them completely yet, not till next year, that’s why it’s a series and why it’s one focused on her and not him. Again that’s why he’s a costar/buddy in movies like Thor or avengers

It's bad. When did he even last win a fight? He isn't a comedy character.

Add Thor to that list. I just watched the new Thor movie and yeah sure, it had some funny parts. But why did they turn Thor into a joke of a character? I thought Ragnarok was a great surprise with its playful tone. But I also thought that was only something you could do once and then get back to more adult storytelling. And I don't mind the occasional jokes sprinkled in to keep things fun. But Love & Thunder was too much for me and while I really like most of Taika Waititi's films, especially JoJo Rabbit he's not the man to move forward with in Marvel. And to think he's making a Star Wars film, yuck.

I really wish Hulk could appear in Deadpool and be allowed to cut loose. I'm not sure if there is a rights thing that makes that difficult to do like Deadpool being more part of the X-Men universe while Hulk is tied into the Avengers.

Otherwise, Hulk almost seems to have issues like Superman because he is OP. I suppose the exception being Man of Steel as Superman was equal to Zod, but then also The Incredible Hulk Vs. Abomination was fair. I guess the villain that is the main characters equal but opposite is okay, but outside that it's handled weird.

Well, one curious easy win they gave Hulk was trashing Loki lol which had a huge positive reception. I don't know if writers think it's so easy to do this again it would seem cheap and audiences won't buy into the 'We have a Hulk' solution.

Ang Lee/Eric Bana Hulk is best Hulk

Have sometimes wondered if that should be given a kind of FX remaster. Not sure if that's even do able because many scenes are already dark to kind of reduce the apparent limitations of the CGI.

Otherwise, the move more than makes up for FX limitations with character. I also really, really love that it has a Mad Science vibe all over it which is different from what Tony Stark represented. If anything Ant-Man and Hank Pym have this a little bit, but not as much as Bruce or his obsessed father.

I really like Ang Lee's Hulk, well except for the Gamma infused dogs, lol. It was nice to see Hulk up against the military instead of trying to create a villain for him. It was also a great way to introduce the rivalry between Banner & General (Thunderbolt) Ross.

Man of Steel wasted the incredible performance of Michael Shannon by killing him off. If anything they should have had Kal-El duke it out with someone else and make it so Zod was sent in the Phantom Zone with the rest of the Kryptonians.

Or, if you're going to have Supes and Zod mix it up. At least play up on the fact that Zod was a season veteran military strategist and have him realize he can't match the more youthful strength of Clark and instead expose his lack of experience like Faora briefly did.

Sounds like Disney Marvel has moved into Disney Start Wars territory and has begun to try to rewrite all their beloved characters to look weak and stupid so they can try to pump up their new characters in the hopes of future profit.

Disney sucks.

Fun episode that was way too short. Great pacing, humor, and story progression. Still can't get over the weird CGI.
