So some people are pissed off because that Ed Sheeran guy and Beyoncé performed on stage together and he was wearing jeans while she was wearing some big fancy over the top dress. They are making it sound like that's how we expect women to dress as performers while men can dress however they want, women have been wearing jeans and t-shirts (and much less) on stage for decades but they figured this was the time to make a point. If you ask me Beyoncé looks like a fairy godmother exploded all over it but it's totally up to her as an artist how she wants to dress on stage, I just don't get why people look at something like this as a reason to be upset.

Nick Cannon did something right, kinda. He should have put an exclamation on it by say ‘People sometimes say stupid s***. If they learn from it, and change, everyone should move past it.’

People freaking out over something said many years ago is getting nuts.

I mean, you say one dumb thing in your life and you're supposed to wear the scarlett letter the rest of eternity?

What's the point of all this if it isn't possible to learn from the past?

Even with me or there mother in there...
No chick with a dick is coming near any of my minor children while they are in the bathroom.

Of course you don't get it as birds of the same feather You know the rest.
But you don't know if "a chick with a dick" has gone to the toilet near your kid. Nor would your kids even notice.

You wouldn't even be able to identify them in a line up. (I'm not sure if I can advertise my wig company) (they're really good. Rupaul wears them.)

Every child should be accompanied by a parent in a public bathroom. And that is 100% on the parents.

But in saying that, i remember trying to prevent on doodles as a kid.

Trans-phobia and homophobia are two very different things.

If you're talking about the Kevin Hart thing, that's not how it went. The awards are mostly watched live by gays, and straight women.

Fact.

He got called out on it, and he said he won't apologize, because he acknowledged it in the past.

The academy said apologize, or we will move on.

Again, he refused to even apologize for any of his hateful tweets.

Then he got fired/posted a tweet not wanting to draw attention away from the awards...

Ummm... If he had of just led with his fake apologies, noone would care

I look at it a bit differently, if he had already apologized why allow it to be an issue now? We have to allow people who have changed to get beyond who they were but if we keep anchoring them to their past that will never happen. If he was still making those kinds of jokes that'd be one thing but he hasn't said anything publicly like that in almost a decade.

This subject is one I think we really have to be more forgiving on because so many people have moved so far in such a short time and I am grateful for that, the last thing I want to do is keep telling someone who seems to have become more of an ally or at the very least more sensitive and understanding that they have to once again go back to a place that they've already moved on from and apologize AGAIN for bad jokes that were made nearly 10 years ago and were also sadly far more common at that time. We have to stop holding people's past actions up to today's standards or nobody is going to get to move on.

I agree with the first bit... To an extent.

He posted a video saying that he refuses to apologise for what he said, because he had already "acknowledged" it.

I totally think he has moved on from what he posted back then... But he did say he would beat his son with a doll house so he wouldn't be a f**.

He posted, 11 times whilst tagging other 'celebs' (where he could maximise his notoriety) f******.

He literally retweeted someone calling aids "gods lol'"

He didn't apologise.

He acknowledged.

He then went on Snapchat or Facebook video, and explicitly said he would NOT apologise.

Then, after he was fired/(stood down so as there wouldn't be any attention drawn from the awards), the night before his Sydney show (which is the home of the largest gay pride parade) he tweeted the fakest apology. It was like 'I apologise to [insert here] if they were offended"

This wasn't just a comedian thing. He said he would beat his sons if they displayed any behaviour that seemed gay. He used the F-gay word with abandon.

He should have just said "I said a bunch of dumb s*** back then. I've learnt a lot, but I hope to learn more" and there wouldn't have been an issue.

His videos where he refuses to apologise are on YouTube still. He deleted them, and most of his other posts.

Ummm... Keep thinking that. It's literally my job to "masque" people, and YouTube guides on how to paint your face/body are more deceptive than ever. And if all you're depending on is an Adams apple, then you're silly.

Check out one of my good ol' friends Courtney Act before you act so glibly.

But what if that chick was post-op, would you be ok, or no?

The toilet issue continues to baffle me. It really seems like a USA issue.

Most m-to-f people that are going through HRT that are pre-op, couldn't have an erection if they wanted.

If it's a drag queen you're worried about, why the f*** is your kid out at 3am squating in a gutter?

If you go back a lot of comedians were making gay jokes, hell I still make them lol but again the comments about his kid were the type of thing people said a lot back then but not really now. I have to be honest I haven't gone looking for his old apologies I've just read that he had already apologized for saying those things and I haven't heard/seen anything from him in years that would lead me to believe he still feels that way.

I just don't get holding people to account for things that were said (actions are another story) nearly a decade ago when I myself have a really broad and at times very mean sense of humor, I have probably said worse things than he did, the only difference is I didn't do it on twitter and even if I had nobody would give a s*** because I'm not famous. I still make jokes with friends and family that by today's standards would get me fired from a job if I had made them on social media and the right (or wrong) person decided to make a big deal about them but those things are jokes and I don't really think the way that my sense of humor may lead some to believe and I give professional comedians the same benefit of the doubt, they are trying to make a broad audience laugh not educate and be PC.

You're missing something that I'm saying.

They weren't jokes.

They weren't punch lines.

Big difference.

Edit: then posted video saying he refuses to apologise because he has "acknowledged" his past.

Then posted a second video, saying he is "ok with them" but he has moved on

Then The Academy publicly said apologize or step down.

He then got fired.

He then posted how he wanted to step down from the position so as there wouldn't be drama.

And then fiiiinallly.

He actually apologized.

He hadn't before that.

Google what he said. And his retweets. Laughing at people dying from HIV?

Great joke.

Realistically, trans people are begging for protection from YOU.

YOU won't allow a trans person in a woman's bathroom, and you'd welcome them in a men's room?

Love thy neighbour, as long as you don't have to see it.

You're a smart bloke Val. Read into it a bit.

Trans people are attacked, beaten, and raped at an exponentially higher rate than 'normal' people.

They are just people wanting to be able live. To go to work. To eat. Drink. And yes, piss.

Don't associate any gay sexual abuse statistics with anything regarding trans people.

I think if you tried your hardest, you'll only find that that trans people are assaulted, attacked, and allienated. Hormonally, their sex drive is almost non-existent, so I have no idea where this phobia is coming from.

You have more to fear from any neighbour with a nice garden. (Anyone who thinks Begonias are nice, are psychos)

And also, you could work with a trans person and not even know it.

If you wore a dress, would be a woman?

Or is it only your penis that makes you a man?

Have you seen the penis of every man that you work with? If you haven't, what if they are actually women? Or trans? Or hermaphroditic?

It's a very fragile system that your clinging to.

Gender is a costume that we all present.

Love you too Mr, but this post hurts on a few levels.

Show some compassion, and educate yourself about the issues of sexual assaults, rape, sex work and suicide in the queer community.

There are SO many resources that are available to you that are USA centric, and they are disturbing.

Edit: and I speak as one of those people that got kicked out of my home, and gave blowjobs in a McDonalds carpark as a teen. (And totally double charged 'bros')

I'm just going chime in on the kevin hart thing...
He's obviously a homophobe. That's okay, he's right to his opinion in the matter. I do think it's a bit irresponsible to tweet about beating his son if he plays with dolls though, it really doesn't make for a good role model tbh. Had he just tweeted that he thinks h***s are wrong and he'd wish his son don't become gay it would've been acceptable imo. He's a Hollywood b**** like most though, so of course he'll make it about himself and at the same time make a fake apology, he clearly still hates h***s. Same with Roseanne barr and her anti Muslim debacle. Hollywood f***s up people.

Also, feel free to lgbt all you want, people should be what they want to be and be free to say what they want, it's 2018 but this witch hunt needs to stop, if you can destroy peoples life by calling them out for stating opinions because you feel offended... well, that's f***ed up.

Just read about your indian amerikan comedian nimesh patel and him being booted from a college gig... read the joke he made... lol, not sure even in Sweden this would happen (and this sjw thing is huge here).
I'm still unsure what percentage of the crowd thought it right vs wrong, I'm hopeful most was as wtf as I am right know.
Also, it would be interesting to hear what random gay ebony men thinks about this.
