Skyrim

As I said I had no interest in really playing this game anytime soon, but having purchased the legendary edition for super cheap, my hype level is slowly rising. Just started Demon Soul's though so would really like to get a play through on that first.

Just picked this up recently I have Jaysus swords, climates of Tamriel and enhanced blood mods. Any other recommendations.

What are you looking to mod in Skyrim?
Characters/you/npcs or textures, graphics, lighting etc.

Or both?

I can make recommendations that will make your game look absolutely amazing, but I need a framework.

Small caveat...just remember NLA is a much more intensive ENB than Realvision. If you don't have the system for it it will lag.

ok np i better make sure i can handle it before i do anything tonight then, if anything i will go with the realvision mod if the NLA is a no go for me.

I probably like 30 mods installed now, mostly character changes and town changes but also some new armor and a few new companions. I am amazed at everything you can do with the game with mods. Last night experience something i had never had before even when playing on xbox 360, had 2 dragons attack winterhold at the same time which was awesome but also very challenging.

Game is installed. I didn't want to but with a 4 day weekend starting tonight I believe it is time to start this game. Goodbye everybody.

Not going to lie... I'm a little disappointed in the game. Also compared to Oblivion, Fallout 3, or New Vegas, I really suck at this game. I've been dying a lot lately especially when facing more than one person. I'm a Red Guard as I wanted to focus on sword and shield but not only does the shield not seem to really stop much damage but the steel sword I have doesn't do much damage. For instance on my way up to High Hrathgar or whatever I faced an ice troll and I could barely get him to half health before he destroyed me. I ended up just running past him. Then there are other times against a couple mages that just annihilate me with magic while my sword barely does any damage to them in their cloth robes. Just seems like a lot of trial and error of doing a quick save before I know a battle will happen and then finding out how to be cheap just to kill enemies.

Oh well rage quit and uninstalled the game. Too many games in my backlog to play this right now anyways. Maybe someday I'll go back to it but at this point I'd rather replay Fallout New Vegas.

No shame in that. I deleted a 60+ hour Skyrim save because I got bored. Even on the most difficult setting I could 1-shot almost everything in the game with my build + gear (archer). I'll go back to it some day when I get the itch for a fantasy based adventure and probably install some of the increased difficulty mods because vanilla is just too easy.

Plus, to be perfectly honest, i never cared for the TES games that much. I mean they're fun and they're beautiful, but if I'm going to spend dozens or hundreds of hours in an open world I'm going to do it in a Fallout game.

Sorry to hear that. The begginging is kind of hard and I find you have to focus on HEATH 80% and Stamina 20% and then if you are Red Guard put your points into BLOCK,ONE HAND and What ever ARMOR you are using.

Personally I think it is their most intuitive and smooth game yet.

Yeah i can see how you would get frustrated at the game. i usually stay away from doing high hrathgar till i have leveled up some and have higher armor, which u can improve the strength of your armor and weapons at the blacksmiths shops. anyway at least you can play it anytime u want though and u were able to get it for cheap. if you decide to play it down the line and need any help just let me know i can try to give you some tips if u want.

Yea so far those are the only areas I've put points into. I think for health/stamina I had like 150 to 120 at the time.

Yea maybe that was my issue and I could have stuck to some side quests. That said, even while moving between big towns I'd run into enemies that would take me out in no time. At least according to my current abilities I had my steel sword and armor upgraded as far as I could (fine condition). I'll give it a shot again someday.

Enjoyed the size of the world and the visuals but never got into it because I thought it didn't have a soul with many npc's that were just there likewise many areas.

If it had a online component that would of greatly helped oh and I don't like how easy it is to become over-encumbered having to constantly drop items was very annoying IMO.

Humm, what were your one handed and block lvls at? I usually put my perk points to one handed, block and heavy armor the most at the beginning to get the benefits from them like higher damage and being able to bash with the shield. well at least its in your library now and can pick it up again someday though.

yeah bethesda games do have npcs like that unfortunately. You could have always enchanted your amor to help increase carrying capacity and by increasing your stamina that always help as well. I do hate having to drop items sometimes but i usually drop the least important items or ones that will give me the least amount of money at the shops.

I think one handed skill was at 38, block might have been close to 30. Otherwise yea almost all perk points were on one handed, block, and heavy armor.

I've never played Skyrim. Played Oblivion and liked it, but really other than Oblivion these kind of games don't interest me.

What a silly question!

Is the sky still blue? Are fart jokes still funny? Do I still cry at the end of Titanic? Does Dolly Parton sleep on her back?

Pro-tip: The answer is YES.

I like TES games, but the combat needs a complete overhaul in my opinion. A better loot system would be nice too.

That what a follower is for drop everything into a chest and then tell them emptily it they have no carry limilt when you do that.

Yep I will agree. Really clunky swinging a sword around or going between attacking and defending.

yeah i just think u would need to have the skills up higher especially for ice trolls, mages are a pain though but if you can find the fire breath dragon shout that does help or if you find the slow time shout that might help you out as well with them.

That is true, sometimes followers can hinder you though which sucks but being able to dump off items to them comes in handy especially if you are in a long dungeon.

Just started up another playthrough actually and yes the game is addicting as it has ever been, feels completely new to me after two years. I don't think i will be touching magic this time or the mages college just gonna tank through the game with my battleaxe.

I am trying to get all the dragon priest masks, never completed that quest before on 360, also does anyone know where i can find gold ingots? there is a weapon i downloaded but need them to craft it.
