Slowly upgrading my HT system.

^ For gamers its better offering better motion/motion resolution, lower input lag and no burn in.

Anywayz my set came in last night and is shot :(
I am hoping cleveland plasma takes care of this in a timely manner.

Ouch, shoulda went with Samsung. :txbcool::wink:

I hear about it all the time but I also hear rare occasions where people claim they don't have these issues, same goes 4 plasma users.

Anywayz...My new set is set to be delivered Wednesday if it don't have issues i will be happy.
If it does....I will save some money and try 2 get a different set, maybe a OLED :p But i think the 75 incher is out of range price wise.

It's coming together.

Optoma and especially BenQ are really leading the way. They still have quite a way to go, imo.

Considering my first projector (InFocus X1) was an EDTV resolution display for just under a grand, at a time when flat panel TVs were scarce, and in the trend of thousands of dollars; projectors are no longer the amazing deal that they one were. Both of my following projectors were still amazing deals at 720p, then 1080p/with 3D, for their times. Now that UHD/HDR has arrived, it's like baby steps, while flat panels go to amazing heights, and for cheap!

DLP was once a mind-blowing piece of technology, but it's advancements have been pretty slow, imo. So, while I applaud what BenQ is doing with an actual leap like this, we really need laser and LED illumination to push existing technology forward. Hopefully next year, they can get it all together in a single package, and continue in the direction where price/performance is headed.

Either way, I will keep my eye on this BenQ THX model and see what it actually streets for. (Usually they go for at least a couple hundred less than retail)
