Just bought the game, looks great. I must say though, they didn't really start off the spirit mode great...I mean, kirby as only playable character, kirby? Lol
I'm sure I'll love it, this having to unlock characters are great imo, great for feeling of progression that other switch games lack (ie Mario kart 8 ).

I don't know anything regarding previous story modes in these games, but if you watch the cinematic from the final Nintendo Direct on this game (not sure if it's in Adventure Mode or not), Kirby is the only one that escapes the attack. Also I'm pretty sure he is one of the more powerful characters from Nintendo. Or just the fact he was created by the same guy that is charge of Smash Brothers.

But otherwise, yes, I love the progression of unlocking characters. I don't remember Smash 4 much but I've already been spending a lot more time with all of the characters, as I play a handful of 1v1 stock no item matches, then do their Classic Mode. I usually unlock one or two new characters in the process. Once I have everyone unlocked and done with Classic Mode I'll probably head into Adventure Mode.

Yes, I know, he's still an annoying little s***ball.

Couple more thing I learned.

Changing the left stick sensitivity to High feels better to me.

When you are in adventure mode for a little bit. Change to one of your stronger characters when you are about to exit as you will probably get challenge match to unlock a character.

It’s kinda suggested that the reason behind Kirby being the lone survivor was/is because that’s where he (the producer who worked on this game, his name escapes me) started

You are correct.

1989:
One of Sakurai's earliest experiences in the video game industry began when he worked for HAL Laboratory, where he created the character Kirby at age 19 and directed his first title, Kirby's Dream Land.

Is this game acceptable to play in handheld mode or do you basically need a Pro controller? I tried playing Fortnite in handheld mode and I won't be doing that again.

I've only played it in handheld and think it works fine, granted I've never really played a smash bros game before so have no idea how much better it is with a pro controller.

Bought it digitally a few days ago. It's my first time playing a Smash game.

I'm addicted.

Lol, I think that guy is a pain in the ass. I beat him using someone who has a sword. It wasn't Link or Kid Link.

If anything, the secondary status means more potential sales as it would go along either console...
Yeah I ignored him, he seems salty at Nintendo’s success lol

I used Adult link. Kept him at bay with arrows and boomerangs. So I suggest someone with projectiles and keep your distance or maybe a heavy hitter like ganondorf.

You should still be able to unlock others or do you mean that it keeps just giving you him from ones that you have a rematch for?

Yeah, it's the rematch thing that has him qued, everyone I've lost against is behind him. I'm also using the method of restarting the game to skip the 10 minute thing for challenge fights, this also means I'm continuing to meet castlevania bro everytime. I guess I could just play the arcade thing and unlock characters that way, then there's no que thing if I'm not mistaken.
Either way, f*** castlevania guy.

Yea you should get new challengers after a few fights apart from the rematch door.

Finally unlocked all the characters. That took quite awhile, bring on the DLC characters.

It will take me years to get all the spirits lol.
