Sony to buy Square?

If the company wants to be bought I guess Sony should do it before someone else, if not I don't see the point since Sony will get all of their games, and can pay for exclusives on a game by game basis. When it comes down to it I don't think Square games appeal much to the average xbox owner either but it doesn't hurt to let them have access to them. Most hardcore square fans are also PlayStation gamers anyway so I don't see the big benefit here other than of course they just want to stop someone else from buying Square first.

Square also owns deus ex and tomb raider? That would be enough for me to rush and get a playstation as if god of War wasn't already enough.
