I'm of the same era, Desso, I think, but a few years behind you. I was only briefly into straight classic rock (e.g., Aerosmith, Foghat, Led Zeppelin), but then I moved into the progressive rock scene -- stuff like Genesis, Jethro Tull, and Yes. After that, I moved into punk rock and then new age.

I can't listen to the classic hard rock, punk, or new age stuff anymore -- not for more than a song, anyway. I just don't have the taste for it anymore. I still listen to some of the progressive stuff, though, now and then. I've been listening to Genesis' Trick of the Tail lately. Some of that stuff holds up really well, at least to my ears.

Come on man, Black Hole Sun? That song was amazing.

So is Jesus Christ pose, outshined, the day I tried to live, etc... Soundgarden and Alice in Chains are a couple of my favorite bands.

I don't know bout calling them classic rock though

When does classic rock start and stop? Are the Beatles classic rock? Is Rush classic rock?

A best of? I'm 22, and I have the Pink Floyd Discovery box set. I'd say that's everything.

I think he means "best of" as in they're no longer producing/performing anymore. So all we're left with is a best of, in the case of Pink Floyd, I'd consider it their whole catalogue
