Spider-Man: Miles Morales

Interesting. I'd like to see what they are doing then. Honestly now I need a dev diary! That would be quite the step in real-time rendering.

Adds a tad more realistic touches to the suit. Shoulders don't look like they have shoulder pads, more defined muscles animations. Found the differences most prominent during the bridge scene.

Damn, its a pity I've already completed everything there is in the Miles expansion. But great to see the devs continue to add and improve on the game. It would be nice if they added more content since they haven't completely moved on from this expansion yet.

I still wanna see a real tech breakdown. I love that stuff

They really seem to have the best handle on PS5 graphics at this point, pretty awesome to see them offer continued improvements. Not so sure about why anyone would want 40 fps in a mode though, going to look like crap on most displays.

It's for 120hz HDMI 2.1 TV's. It's basically an improved / smoother 30 fps fidelity mode. The new "30 fps" for HDMI 2.1 120hz TV's kind of.

Started playing the remaster of the base game on Friday and already have probably 10 hours into it lol. So much fun. Not sure what everyone's preference is but I went with Performance RT mode. I just can't do less than 60fps anymore and the game still looks amazing anyways.

About 85% done with main story according to the menu . I'm in the third act so not sure how it calculates main story from any side quest. About the only non main story stuff I have left are a couple bases and crimes. I have to say as much as I've enjoyed this game, it does start to drag towards the end. Maybe I'm not adapting properly but it's boring doing the Sable bases and taking 10+ hits to take someone out, sniper/rocket fire constantly that you have to dodge. It really just becomes too much and that joy of Batman style combat flow goes away.

Edit: this is the OG game not MM.

I think you're at the point in the game where it ramps up the difficulty in combat encounters. It requires quick reflexes and memory of almost your whole move set. I remember towards the end where things got really hectic where you have to prioritize the range enemy units first or are forced into constant dodging and when long string combos were impossible. And don't forget your web ability to redirect rockets to take down the one who fired it or other enemies. Also, don't forget about your arsenal of gadgets they are super helpful.

I'd replay certain encounters because I'd get through them in such an ugly fashion. But after practice I would hardly take any damage and look so cool doing it. That was really fun to me.

I'm level 49 now so just one more to unlock all abilities. I did get the rocket redirect last night but was just before I stopped. A lot of the gadgets seem worthless imo. Seems better to just throw someone to the ground and then use the basic web to stick them. Electric is fine for groups as is the big web.

I remember getting use out of the web-bomb, trip mine and the gadget that launched enemies into the air allowing for Spidey to take them out with air combos and I think it also launched the big brutes into the air as well with the final upgrade. Web-Shooters were my bread and butter though, I really liked webbing up a dude and throwing him into a pack of enemies or into wall. I'd also use the environmental takedowns whenever they were available because it looked so cool. I never got tired of dropping scaffolding on the enemies.

Your option to take down the enemies works too and is not wrong. This game's abilities/gadgets and melee options give a lot of freedom to the player. I just liked using all the toys.

Ended up 100% the story and DLC for original game. Overall I enjoyed the game but as I stated before the end of the game (maybe last 1/4 to 1/3) really started to become a drag. Honestly about midway through the second DLC I just put it on easiest difficulty to get it done. I enjoyed the story and the gameplay idea, but felt a lot of it just buggy or cheesy in some cases. Maybe it's just me getting older as I find myself saying "f*** this game" way more often lol. It just feels like games aren't being tested as much as before or it's not as strict because there are several times recently (this and other games) where I say how did no one say anything about this?

Anyways I will play Miles Morales but unless that improves on this game I'm not sure I'd bother with a sequel unless I just put it on easy to enjoy the story and be OP.

Just breeze through Miles on easy. It’s a good play through.

So I finished the original game and the first DLC (black cat is awesome)! And gonna have a break before I come back and finish the DLC and MM.

I loved this game, one of my favorite games of last gen, Ithe story just kept getting better as well as your abilities and gadgets and things to do around the city.

Web slinging is phenomenal, they really took that work they did in sunset overdrive and cranked it up another gear for one of the best ways to traverse in a game.

Graphics, sound etc was amazing ray tracing was well done and impressive, I had a couple weird instance with pop in with some leaves under a bridge when I went to turn away but nothing to write home about.

The only thing I was impressed about the dual sense was the spider bot, that was pretty cool, otherwise it felt pretty minimal (which is kinda good really)

They just need to get rid of those terrible stealth sections, they added nothing to the game and just broke up the game when they could've just had a cutscene, it would've been cooler to do a segment with a villain character doing something, or anything other then the stealth parts.

Damn that was a big write up, just really loved the game.

Did you play the remastered ?

I still haven't played the DLC yet. Hopefully they release a complete remastered PS5 edition for PS+ or something.

Yea it was the ultimate edition so it came with a download code for remastered with DLC.

Does anyone know if the code is one time use? Kind of sucks for resale value.

Agreed on the stealth sections. First time was ok but beyond that and especially towards the end I would just sigh when it happened.

I agree about the stealth but it’s still an awesome game.

I enjoyed being a sneaky Spider. I liked using the gadgets to set traps and/or the environment to takedown unaware enemies. Of course the enemy AI was as dumb as a box of rocks so it was easy to lure them to their doom, but it was still a lot of fun.

I loved those stealth sections they were awesome, just not the lame scripted MJ ones.
