Any impressions from the PS open beta? I totally forgot to download it so I’ll need to wait for the Xbox one this coming weekend.
 
Maybe in a year or so it will be something interesting but it really does nothing we haven't seen other games do way better. Its Avengers so it should sell well so its not going to die despite its lukewarm reception.
 
I just really hope the game has a great campaign. All the live service stuff is what it is, but if the main story delivers I’ll be happy
 
I played the PS beta its a ok game. Its not what I want in an Avengers game. I was hoping for something a little less button mash-y with a little more depth and complexity in the loot system. There's no way to customize your characters outside acquiring or purchasing new skins.The trash mobs are faceless dumb AI that litter the areas and just swarm the player where things turn into a clusterfck and tanks the framerate. The game has its moments but is a little too shallow in my opinion.

Seeing a robot get punched by the Hulk and it barely reacts just makes me yawn. Then you see Black Widow running up and punching it too. Like, shouldn't she have to change tactics for a giant robot rather than punch and kick it? I guess 3 hit combos are easier to do. They could have come up with a better encounter than standing across from an enemy and trading blows.

It doesn't help that I just don't find the appeal in loot-fest games. Boring.

Just remake MUA1 with this engine for next gen instead

I am a big Avenger fan, but very little in the game interest me. Looks like a beat them up with marvel character.
 
Campaign is very enjoyable. It will do well because if the name on the box but it feels like the marketing people could have done a better job.
 
Sounds like it bombed.

1/4 of what spiderman did and less than the last Tomb Raider
