I brought this game the week before it went on sale, really enjoying the game though I had to put it down as a boss was constantly owning me.

As much as I really like the game, it just makes be want another Jedi Academy. This might as well be tomb raider with lightsabers slapped in there, not to mention the meaningless chests. But hey for their first star wars game respawn has done an incredible job and really look forward to what they can do next.

Edit: Apparently there's an update out today with a challenge mode, new cosmetics etc.

I found the combat really clunky and artificially difficult personally. I might pick it up cheaper on PC as a smoother framerate might help. It didn't feel difficult, but "cheap". On normal difficulty I should be able to get the timing down for the most part (I do fine in AC:Odyssey).

I had ZERO issues on easy :tounge:

Yeah I turned from 4k mode to 60fps on the 1X and never looked back, same with Witcher, it's just so much better to play, bring on next gen 4k/60 should be the norm.

Finally picked it up. Movement feels chunky and some odd facials but seems alright so far

I did the same but still couldn't get anything close to 60 fps in combat. I haven't played in awhile so maybe they boosted the fps on performance mode.

I didn't have anything to measure FPS, but there's no way it was much over 30 for me on the X1X.

Yea there's no way to really know how many frames it hit, but for me it was much smoother then 4k mode.

Lol I literally just finished playing this game this weekend on the XSX. Oh well, I wouldn't have noticed a difference anyway.

On XSX I notice an improvement. Instead of constant jankyness, it is only occasional. I would love to see a DF analysis of this, as it doesn't feel "smooth" to me. I go back to AC:Valhalla and it feels completely different. It might just be the controls more too.

Still feels like an improvement in performance mode. I could get past the occasional jankyness.

Controls feel heavy. Game is just a massive missed opportunity

Yeah bouncing between this and the AC games (I think I was into Odyssey when this launched) is just night and day. The framerate seems to help, but it still isn't the same. I'm still going to try to play through it now. The framerate does help a bunch. We'll see if I make it past that battle with that creature that frustrates everyone.

Fallen Order patch works better on Xbox Series X than PS5. The bottom line is that the Xbox Series X can produce a smoother frame rate at a higher resolution. Fallen Order still looks quite pretty on the PS5, and much better than before, but the Xbox Series X provides the best visuals you’re going to see outside of the game’s PC version.

"So be it...Jedi"

The game spent too much time being Tomb Raider.

Don't get me wrong I would like a follow up but this could have been so much better.

Is HDR broken in this game? I started the game, and everything is super washed out with HDR on. Is this one of those games that looks better with it off?

Did you jump back into the game, you may want to quit the game (home button, highlight game, hit start and scroll down to “quit”) then restart the game...I have that issue with halo 5 full time to time, the HDR says on but it isn’t.

Looks like it's just the first little area you play in. Supposed to be in a ship building / scrap yard and it's raining. Tons of steam, smoke, dust, and rain all making it look like it had heightened blacks. Once I got a few minutes in, it looked great.

Cool game so far, kinda glad I waited until we have the next gen patch. Looking and running great so far in performance mode on the XSX.
