Lol, people are already signed on! There was no way that this was going to be canceled! Ridiculous!

I mean, by comparison, the Boba Fett movie couldn't be more different. They picked an unknown director in Josh Trank, who reportedly was completely unprofessional on the set of Fantastic 4 reboot, and was blacklisted.

Series project director Deborah Chow OTOH, has already directed 2 very fine episodes of the Mandalorian, so she's already been grooming for this. While McGregor is a producer on the series, and I can see where creative differences could occur, there's no evidence that there's any kind of cancelation. Given the resounding success of The Mandalorian, Disney is going to do everything in their power to make this work. That said, I hope these a-holes don't jinx this production!

McGregor addresses rumors:
"There's all this bullsh*t about creative differences and all that stuff, none of it true," he says, commenting directly on the rumors. "None of it's true; they just pushed the dates...they had more time to read the stuff that had been written (after Episode IX), and they felt like they wanted to do more work on it." Everything is, McGregor says, "not nearly as dramatic as it sounds online."

He says they'll start shooting in January 2021, and they don't want to move the release date--which has not been officially announced. "It gives them more time to write, make the scripts even better," he says.

Did you ever tell us what your job was on TRoS? I do understand if you want to keep your anonymity. I've seen it twice, and I think that some day people will look back without all of the toxicity, and say it was one of the better Star Wars movies. I honestly believe that, and will shank a critic in a street duel over it.

I’ve noticed people in the general public already coming around on TLJ.

i was the fight Coordinator so designed all the light saber fights etc 😊 along with a great team
we originally had some really cool sequences but so much got cut and dumbed down. I was pretty pleased with how it came out, but could’ve been so much better....

we prob had 70% of stuff they never used....

It sounds like there was a whole bunch that was cut. Would love to see an extended version of the movie come out sometime! Kinda reminds me of how good the fight scenes were in Fellowship of the Ring, then when you saw the extended version, it's like there was a whole other level of cohesiveness to them.

I can't believe this though! Really? Seriously, great job then, btw! That much still shines through, in very much the same way I described above. I hold the lightsaber duels in high regard, and when I think of some of the best fight scenes to me, whether it be a Hollywood movie or a Hong Kong one, the best fight scenes always have a level of acting drama within the action itself. Excuse me for lack of a real term for this synergy. I'm not sure what level that mix is due to your involvement in choreography, but Star Wars has always had varying levels of this synergy in that sort of way, but Ep IX honestly topped every SW movie with the saber fighting in this regard, and I say this as someone who has had a very close attachment to Star Wars from an early age.

Was this your first Star Wars movie, or did you do any work on other sequels, as well?
