Premiered tonight at 9pm EST. I quite liked it actually, after being pissed that The Clone Wars was prematurely canceled (though they did throw us a bone by releasing the last handful of episodes on Netflix). Definite upgrade in the art department.

It's a strange thing but somehow, by simplifying the galaxy into the Empire era and moving it away from the massive CLone Wars battles, it inversely makes every adventure seem that much more epic. Example being the Kanaan "reveal" near the end of the episode.

Anyway, I enjoyed it and very much looking forward to the next episode. Equally important, all of my kids loved it and were talking about it afterwards. That's what it's about, isn't it?

I really dug the Clone Wars 3D animated series. Shame it got cancelled. Haven't got around to watching this though. Should make for an interesting watch.

Have the first episode set to record when it reruns and it kicks off on 13th. Me and my son have been watching Clone Wars on Netflix we are up to season 4 so far. I like it for the most part. Some cool duel's and battles.

Rebels first episode was outstanding, imo. The story takes place after Episode III, so we're full-swing into the Empire being the real bad enemy that made the Original Trilogy so great.

There are some haunting and memorable moments in the first episode.

Be sure to catch the premiere on TV later as well, since Disney will be adding a special cameo appearance of a character. The actor James Earl Jones will be supplying the voice for this character. You can guess which character that'll be. :)
