I've tried a few times to watch the Clone Wars series, but could never get into it, but I watched the first 2 or 3 episodes of The Bad Batch last night and really enjoyed it. The CGI / animation mixed with Dolby Vision looks REALLY nice on my tv. Having it start right at the end of the prequel series and take place in the early stages before the original series helps me forget about how unwatchable all the prequel movies are (sorry to anyone who likes them, your options are wrong).
prequels are garbage and have always been garbage. but its star wars, so that's expected and accepted.
The show: The animation and lighting is much improved. the most recent episode looks great. Though it seems to entirely be filler so far. Twice in row they stop to make repairs and leave with someone nearly tailing them.
It also just seems to be a vehicle for other characters to cameo on. After the pilot the shows been about pretty much everyone except the main cast.
Not to expect too much from a childrens show.

I just got caught up with the most recent episode, this seems fairly accurate. Still enjoying it though, the animation + Dolby Vision is great eye candy.
