Microsoft will keep that commitment, Spencer said in an interview. Future games, like Starfield, will be available for Xbox, PC and Microsoft’s Game Pass video-game service. “We’ll take other consoles on a case-by-case basis,” Spencer said.

Even though it was rumored to be shown as an exclusive at PlayStation’s last event showing....

Did Spencer really mention Starfield like that?

As for Sony, according to Imran Khan a few months ago Sony was trying to secure a deal to have it as timed exclusive. Knowing Sony it would have been a year. So glad that didn't happen.

I'm still sour they got that for deathloop though. I dig arkane games but despise FPS on playstation's controllers.

Exact same boat. That games looks really good to me but I hate playing shooters with their controller. It's why I stopped playing Days Gone and I don't see myself ever getting used to it.

As an aside, I expect Starfield in 2021. I believe back in 2018, they were targeting 2020. Like clockwork Bethesda puts the next up game for development into pre-production 2 years before they expect to finish their current full production game. In 2018, TES6 went into pre-production which meant that they were likely targeting to show it at E3 this year and release late 2020/early 2021. Covid happened. I'd be surprised if we dont see it at E3 2021 and then get released 4 to 6 months later.

E3 2021 reveal and will be Xbox’s big fall game same year.

June is a while IMO and Bathesda usually shows a game for the first time right before launch.

Forza and Starfield for the holidays.

When is Infinite gonna release, that is the question. Probably the GOTY when it does. A lot of hype behind this one.

I believe it will be released in 2021 between March and May. It’s been said that the game content wise is done. It’s the technical and graphical issues being worked on.

Probably after March 5th
Even if they say 100% exclusive, the usual suspects will not relent. “But they didn’t say 100% exclusive for how long”.

Yet here we are with no Halo or Hellblade coming to PS.

But for the record I wouldn’t be surprised if MS treated their Zenimax as a different entity. I know they said they are first party games but I don’t recall seeing them be officially reported as Xbox Game Studios developers once the acquisition is final.

ESO, Fallout 76 and possible more that is built on microtransactions seems logical to continue to support and release sequels and also games already in deep development... I'm having a hard time seeing them release future Dooms and wolfensteins etc to playstation though.
Eventually Sony will have to cave in and let MS release their games on xcloud through an app on playstation... They'll not survive otherwise, too many exclusives to lose and their streaming service is lol at this point.

I don't see them making anything exclusive. Doing so massively shrinks sales, profits, mindshare, etc.

Xcloud isn't good enough yet either. When are MS upgrading the Xcloud blades to XSX?
Game pass streaming works flawlessly for me... We don't have third world country internet like you people though (or amerikans, not sure of you anglo-saxons).
