They will probably do it like some other open world games recently....maybe a performance and fidelity mode.
Fidelity mode locked at 30fps and performance lower resolution at 60fps.

I dunno, no BGS game has been anything other than 30fps on console. Plus Todddddd said this:

Previously, trailer analysis showed that Starfield appears to be targeting 4K at 30fps. Whether a 60fps performance mode is also being worked on at the same time is not known and is rather unlikely.

Haven't we heard every year for the past 22 years that Xbox is being sold? I say we start a new rumor each year for the next 22 years that PlayStation is being sold.

Sony film branch is most likely to be sold off first…I can’t see them selling off their camera division, they’re a huge third party their, mainly to apple and other camera/lense parts. They also sell really good mirrorless digital cameras.

Exclusives always mattered.

Just remember shortly 3 years ago, Phil implied the opposite.

"Exclusives Are ‘Completely Counter To What Gaming Is About,’ Xbox’s Phil Spencer Says

Regardless, looking forward to see how this will turn out 😬

He's stating that excluding gamers from content is counter to the best interest of gamers as a whole. That is separate from the business model. Hospitals would tell you that charging high prices (in the US) is counter to what medicine is about, but they do it because the business model requires it.

So he personally believes in non exclusives being better for the industry but he will continue to do exclusives because that is Xbox's business model is what you are saying.

I feel exclusives are what attracts people to a platform so they have a place. Would it be great if every single game was available on the platform I want? Absolutely but that is not how capitalism works 😛

Beg to differ. Imagine how much Sony would make if God of War Ragnarok was on every platform. The hardware is irrelevant in the idea of capitalism as it isn't a big money maker, it is the software and services that drive the gaming world.

He didn't imply the opposite at all.

Also imagine how much work that would be for the devs which potentially would diminish the quality of how optimized the game would be for so many different platforms.

If what you say is true, there would never be any exclusives on any platform because all of the big gaming companies like Sony, Valve, MS, Nintendo would just decide to put all their titles everywhere to make all that big money you are alluding to. Alas, that is not what we see meaning the venture is not worth it in reality if you factor in all costs and logistics involved.

You should think about it more before you reply.

Pretty much, yes. I think he is saying that it is anti-consumer, but it is the nature of the beast. Sometimes this may be console exclusivity, while at other times it may be GamePass exclusivity.

The quote you’re referencing is from an interview about cross-generational exclusives and not leaving people behind as much as possible by forcing them to buy a new device to play an exclusive. Xbox has done a pretty good job of that and persevering backward compatible titles as well.

Of course platform exclusives will exist as the industry has followed that model. I would say that we have seen an increase of cross-platform releases and multiple device penetration.
