Never thought of it that way. They gotta eat too.

Zombies are dead; they don't need to eat. It's the virus that needs to feed and replicate. Zombies are just the vessels the virus animate in order to do that man. Just so happens that destroying the vessel is the only reliable prevention method. ;p

Do Zombies poop?

Lol. Nope, not by most standards anyway. Their body is not alive and therefore neither necessitates or is capable of the processes required for digestion and elimination of what they eat. It is, of course, up to whomever is writing the particular fiction to determine alternate specifics if they wish. One could reasonably assume that while the zombie's bite is typically responsible for spreading the virus, its consuming of flesh facilitates additional purpose for the virus, likely in most cases facilitating some form of excess energy production to actually animate the corpse.

Lies. Zombies only say that so you don't ridicule their glutinous ways.

When is this scheduled to release? Would like to give the first one a fair chance before I purchase this one.

Don't think a release date has been announced yet. Needs as much time as they can give it and I wouldn't even care if it's next spring. Grfx were a bit rough and I'd like to see them improve but if the co-op is solid and the game is fun, I'll take it regardless. If you're jonesing for some Zombie action, download the trial for Dying Light....I loved the trial and going to be buying that after I whack 10-15 games off my backlog.

Heard a lot of good things about Dying Light, just again, one of those I haven't purchased or overlooked since it's release. Still want to play The Evil Within since that seems to have built a good amount of respect around gamers.

Honestly, it's the animation that needed the most work. That cartoon-y animation just doesn't cut it with a realistic visual style. Ideally having a physical system. I don't like canned animations anymore.

I'm hoping it got such a huge delay was because the x1x was coming and MS wanted to up their standard with this sequel.

I already own it digitally, just haven't put much time at all, the persistent world being a part of it. Don't want to play a game where I have to constantly keep track of things.

State of Decay would be perfect for a new spin on the Battleground genre. 100 players. Zombies sprinkled throughout. Instead of a ring closing in, super hoards of zombies close in around you.

Would be interesting if they could figure out a way to tie in creating alliances on the fly.

Wouldn't that just be Horde mode?

Horde mode is just 4 humans vs computer, right? This could be every man or every team for himself combined with zombies. I guess it would be battlegrounds mode combined with horde mode.

I'm just ready for this to come out. It seems like its been in development for so many years now. I wish they would post updates on the animations instead of the environments, those were glaring problems and still are in the newest gameplay trailer they released. Looks very janky.

Pretty sure it's going to remain janky. I "think" that is part of the game style. Even the animations in the CGI look that way it seems. I would like a more fluid motion than janky as well.

I’m ready to see more but I really like the SOD screenshots. It feels like most of them are basically from one map so far. To me they invoke a relaxing tranquility as a backdrop to the world going to hell.
