It’s been a couple of months since we’ve had a State of the Union and it’s probably time for a new one. The site is still going strong and daily users, and guests, has steadily picked up. There aren’t many new members joining up. Probably averaging two a week. Whenever there’s something big happening in the video game world more new members sign up.

We’re approaching out 150,000 post and recently surpassed out 3000th thread. To date we’ve had over 315,000 visits, 70,000 unique visitors and 2,600,000 page views. The average visit is 12.51 minutes. When people view the site they’re staying on it for a good deal of time. We’ve also snuck inside the top 100,000 sites on Alexa.com. We’re currently sitting at 104,197. It fluctuates often but it’s held pretty steady at around the 100,000 mark.

Here are some of the stats from the site. It's interesting to see how high up Chrome is as the browser. I thought for sure Firefox would be number one. It's fourth!

In the coming weeks there will be an upgrade to the forum software. It will add more functionality to the site, such as multi-quoting and a spoiler button added to the BB code bar. There will also be compatibility improvements for Windows 8 desktop and Windows 8 mobile users. I had planned on doing the upgrade the week of March 22nd and 23rd but Infamous: Second Son is coming out and I want the forums to be up so the members can discuss the game. Most likely it will be the following weekend.

A few members have contacted me about putting up a PayPal donation page since they don’t use many online sites to purchase goods. I may do that eventually. In the mean time, to help the site out, tweet some of the stories on Twitter or share some of the threads and stories in other ways.

I’m still debating the Buy-Sell-Trade forum. I’ve been advised on both sides, do it and don’t do it, by people from other websites who have a similar forum. I’m still debating the idea and I haven’t settled on which direction I’ll be heading.

As always, I’d like to thank everyone who’s here contributing to the site. This site wouldn’t be here if it wasn’t for all of you. Even though we will all have disagreements from time to time, remember, we’re one big online family here and try to treat each other as such.

What would be interesting to see is how many returning visitors are new folk.

Thanks for the hard work, and I'm glad to be here. I dont post allot, but I visit every day just to see what is going on and to keep up on the gaming business, software and hardware wise.

We need recruitment points or awards, listed at the top the home page, to credit those who bring new members into the fold.

At my place of employment they pay $1,000 for recommendations that get hired and stay a certain amount of time. Maybe we could do that here? What you think Plainview?

Its nice to see this forum growing and very healthy. Wanna say thanks PlainView and to all the other mods who keep this place running strong. :bang:

Would we be allowed to start a "random babes thread No Nudity NSFW"? Or will that affect advertising?

That might make the site stats rise, and if not the stats it'd probably make something else rise... if you get what I'm saying.
