Sunset Overdrive

Agreed and I would pay $70 I enjoyed it that much. Just thinking about HDR in a game already colorful, and DualSense features hnngg

Would make sense to bring it to the PS population since Insomniac Games are a part of Sony now.

From the rumoured State of Play leak, there's a title called "Sunset Apocalypse", maybe that's a sequel?

OMG, this man gets it. After experiencing the controller feedback to produce the light drizzle of rain in Returnal. I can only imagine what they could do with controller feedback for all the rail grinding you have to do in this game.

This is one of those games I regret not devoting more time to it deserved. I've only ever played a few hours but always meant to get back to but never did. If they did a graphical update as well as implement dualsense controller feedback I'll be there to support.

I hope the game gets a remake or sequel. It was criminally underrated on the Xbox one. Absolutely don't know why it didn't sell well.

As the trademark is owned by Insomniac I would assume that the remake/remaster would be a PS5 exclusive. Maybe Sony can do something more with the IP to grow it.

It deserved a sequel. I'd definitely jump in for a PS5 remaster.

Sounds like it's dead.

Q: Is there any life left in the Sunset Overdrive franchise, given it used to be an Xbox exclusive?

A: I mean, never say never is my approach. Obviously, we’re part of Sony now, but we own the IP and so there’s nothing really stopping us other than we have a lot of really exciting things in our future.

Q: I suppose the question is would you want to make another one?

A: I would. I think there are a lot of stories that can be told in that universe and I would love to return to it. I had a lot of fun making that game.

"so there’s nothing really stopping us other than we have a lot of really exciting things in our future."

Sounds like he's open to the possibility but they are just busy with lots of existing projects right now.

It's always the NEVER SAY NEVER when they mean RIP.

meh. Didn't care much for it in the tiny amount I played. I'm far more interested in what insomniac are currently working on in both Spidey 2 and Wolverine...
