I had no idea this movie was being made! I saw the first when I was about 10 years old, and it's stayed with me for two decades.

It showed me the gritty reality of drugs.

That they're awesome.

The trailer seems to tap into the energy of the first, whether or not they represent the burnout will be interesting. Anyone else a fan of the original?

Yeah the original was a pivotal movie for its time. I've so many great memories from it. Even Born Slippy getting played in every club on weekends for that entire summer.

I hope this lives up to it.

I'm not sure I've ever seen the whole movie? The only part I remember is the baby part. It may have just been that I watched that scene. Anyway, I'll have to give it a watch if it's on Netflix.

That scene caused a lot of stink here in Oz. It almost got banned because of it.

Its an amazing/horrible movie to watch. You should check it out after you watch Blade Runner. :p

When Born Slippy kicked in, a million memories flashed back haha.

The second half of the song, I still play before heading out now. (They're all tragically bad songs that I play to psyche myself up. The others are "From Paris to Berlin" and the song by Meatloaf from The Rocky Horror Picture Show)

I actually read the sequel book years ago. Toughest book I ever read because it was written in phonetic Scottish English. Pretty decent book that brought back all the characters. It's amazing how famous lost of the main cast are now... With the exception of spud.

Ugh! I didnt even know there was a book of the sequel.

Precious was written phonetically aswell, and as she learnt to read, the language became more legible. I gave up after a few chapters lol.

And Spud was my fav lol.

I remember throwing up watching the original for the first time. One of my all time favorites.

I think I was in my early 20's when I finally got around to watching it. Great movie with so many memorable scenes. Looking forward to this.
