Yeah it does remind me of game called Army of Two.

Ballistic face masks I think. They might stop a small round from a long ways away, and you may survive, but you aint fightin again afterwards, and that's if your shattered skull doesn't cause problems. Not exactly what I'd imagine as standard.

I really don't think these are your rank and file "army" guys. I find it more likely that they're counter terrorism or something similar, some form of focused unit, they look way too good to be your average G.I. Jung.

Then again, looking at the situation Taiwan is in, maybe I'm wrong.

Well dehumanizing their soldiers for 'effect' is a double edge sword. It's much easier to kill someone if they are dehumanized. We do it with propoganda. Looks like they physically did it.
