With all these debates, arguments and bickering over how many TFlops is enough all I wanna know is....

What is the exchange rate of a tflop vs the US dollar? and or Bitcoin?

There’s gotta be some kind yearly adjustment for inflation, when taking in the mid cycle Tflops, no?

No idea what's going on. That last bit had me thinking it was a side scrolling beat em up with Guilty Gear characters which would be cool.

Imagining myself at NASA trying to fit in with the rest of the engineers, skissing pics of penises on a paper thinking they'll accept it as the new design of them spaceships = Google's attempt at gaming

Shannon Studstill was at SMS for quite a while but from what I can tell she ran the studio but she wasn't involved in any technical or creative other than probably signing off on what the creative director for any particular game wanted to do. Congrats to her, she's likely going to get a big raise and a new challenge, hopefully stadia is around long enough for her new studio to get going and actually make a game.

Will the servive last long enough for a quality 4 year AAA dev time.

It's tough. If Nintendo went the sub and stream path, their IP is strong enough that people would probably still buy in. Google's challenge is that they're way too niche to have a chance at getting any seriously compelling licensed IP exclusivity, so they have to create something new that is desired enough to compel people to switch to their platform to play it. It has to be exponentially more than a system seller for that to work.

I dono, i want to say yes mainly so all those devs don’t lose their jobs....but, if google dumps stadia hopefully maybe Phil could snag them, it makes the most sense for them to pick them up since not only are they working on xCloud/azure for themselves they’re licensing said tech to others (or amazon could pick it up)

You're probably right about Nintendo.

This is also a bit late. They needed exclusive games at launch. It is if they thought the google name was enough to make folk forget all the draw backs and move to service with vastly inferior game selection.

Apple says that game streaming services, such as Google Stadia and Microsoft xCloud, are explicitly permitted. But there are conditions: Games offered in the service need to be downloaded directly from the App Store, not from an all-in-one app. App makers are permitted to release a so-called “catalog app” that links to other games in the service, but each game will need to be an individual app.

But what does that have to do with xcloud?

Basically they're saying instead of not allowing Xcloud at all, they can have an X cloud app as long as every game available is it's own app that Apple can decide whether or not to allow.

So even though the games are streaming and not installed, they want an icon for each game which would allow them to say block Call of Duty from being streamed?

I summerize. Every Shi+ need to be an app, (except if you are amazon lol) so I can take a 30% cut off your revenue.

MS attempt the same thing with their window App Store. Did not fly off. Shocking right. Create you own app/download service and get 100% of revenue vs MS getting a big cut of your revenue.

I have no issue for charging for platform. Same way real estate owner can charge how they want for rental. It’s free market.

The problem comes when there is monopoly or price fixing ( famously like how opex control oil price)!

All major platforms literally charge exactly 30%! This is not free market. That is until Epic get in the picture and slash the royalty. Not only that. They literally don’t charge you if you earn less than a million bucks. Epic has their issue and fair criticism. They are however the better guy in a sea of thieves.

I hope officials take a hard look at the price fixing and better yet, more platforms that actually create res free market competition.
