As much fun as this is, the comparison that we should be making is LBJ to Magic, and I'll give LBJ the edge for having the sense not to stick his f***stick unwrapped into HIV positive skanks.

Irving doesn't count because he isn't a great defender. You have to be amazing at everything to count.

Which is why Dennis Rodman counts. We all know he was one of the greatest scorers of all time. Almost as good as James Harden.

There's never been a better basketball player capable of sticking quarters in his ears.

It's not an all or nothing premise.

Pippen was the perfect complement to Jordan. He was one of the leagues best defenders, could play off ball and score when Jordan needed a rest.

Kyrie is a great player no doubt but he, along with K Love were liabilities on defense during those playoff runs.

Pippen wasn't.

Love and Irving are average defenders, but they certainly aren't liabilities. It was Love that locked down Curry 1:1 near the end of Game 7 to seal it. Even if you want to say he is a below average defender, he was clutch defensively when it counted.

Does anyone actually watch basketball here?

It's hard to have a conversation with someone who says Irving and Love are "average defenders". If you aren't go to watch, at least do a little bit of reading on just how horrible both players were on defense.

Please spare me your sanctimonious tone. I've tried to not be disrespectful in this thread.

You've done a good job at that. I'm sorry that I spoke to you in such a way, but just trust me on this. Love and Irving weren't anywhere close to league average defenders. There's a million articles online detailing how bad they were on that end of the court.

The most telling thing is how many excuses need to be made for Lebron for him to be considered the GOAT.

The Lakers don't appear to be playing very well lately...

Props to Aldridge, dude went beast the other night dropping 50+ on OKC. This Spurs team doing better than I thought they would. Just wish I had the time to catch more of their games.

Also Westbrook almost had 30 assists in the game. I’ve always thought as a player I would rather have Westbrook than Harden.

Westbrook is the guy who shoots the ball 25 times a night while significantly better teammates like Harden, Durant, Olidipo, and George finish the game with 15 shots.

He's currently chucking up 5 threes per game at .229 efficiency.

New Bulls player Wayne Selden Jr is looking like a good pick up from the trade for Holiday. He isn't a big scorer, but in the couple games he's had good minutes he's showed plenty of hustle and effort on offense, which the Bulls badly need. Better than chucking threes all over the place like Holiday. Plus with his hair he looks like D Rose out there in a Bulls uniform again. And most importantly:

Those dreamy eyes

I would have considered Westbrook as the better player in previous select years, but not this season and not overall.

I've never liked him. Always thought he was overrated (still really good) and was bouyed by the fact that he gives you 3 top 10 highlight plays each game. I also think he partially ran Durant out of town because he had to be a nightmare to play with.

Plus, I hate when I hear people say "he plays with so much heart", ignoring the fact that he plays with no heart on half the court.

It'll be interesting to see if this is the end for him. His game relies so much on pure athleticism I'm not sure there's much to fall back on when he loses a step.

The most destructive player in the NBA is being traded to the Bulls. Luckily he won’t have a chance to poison them and give them more wins.

I don't know who it is but I will give you three guesses based on your description...

Jimmy Butler is probably the most destructive player but he's in his prime and Chicago wouldn't trade for him.

Carmelo Anthony would be destructive and wouldn't be playing but I'm not even sure if he's on a roster right now.

Dennis Smith Jr has bad teammate written all over him but destructive..?

Did I get it right?

Bulls building that relationship with the Rockets for an eventual Harden trade.

Windhorst and Jackie McMullen are saying LeBron wants Luke Walton out. Lakers are completely falling apart right now.

AD wants out of New Orleans though so maybe... It's really too bad the Bulls are a complete dump right now otherwise maybe they could have gotten him.

Speaking of the Bulls, I went to the game yesterday against the Cavs. Along with Valentine their two top rookies are done for the season due to injury. LaVine is nursing an ankle injury sustained over a month ago, and Markkanen not 100% either. Only a matter of time until one of them gets a more serious injury and is done for the year. The only positive to Hutchison being out is Selden got the start instead.

AD will go to the Lakers, then Sunset will act like he’s not a HoF caliber player, and that LeBron carries him.
