While promoting his new movie Dunkirk, which hits theaters on July 21, Christopher Nolan confirmed that he’s remastering his previous movies (such as the Dark Knight Trilogy) in 4K.

Nolan told BadTaste.it that he is personally involved in the 4K remastering process, and he seemed pretty excited about it. He explained that 4K with HDR technology gets the home video audience closer to the 6K resolution his movies were shot on, though the IMAX scenes are at a massive 18K. Check out his comments in the video below.

:crazy::crazy::crazy:

Can't wait to own it.

To be honest, this trend also has me worried. When we migrated from DVD to Blu-ray, I had to re-purchase many of my favorite movies. Now I'm doing the same thing with 4K Blu-ray. 5 - 10 more years, will I have to do that again with 8K Blu-ray??? :sad:

I feel the same. I had a big DVD collection and now have a big Blu Ray collection buying a lot of my favorite DVD's again on Blu Ray. I'm looking forward to upgrading my tv to a 4K, but I'm not looking forward to buying movies again at a even higher price.

Future proof your purchases by buying 4K Blu-rays only. They include the HD Blu-rays anyway.

Well I guess they had a nice run with Wonder Woman and now its back to dumpster fire territory.

Here we go again with the "sources" news from these #clickbaits #fakenews sites. I'm going to wait for the official word from Affleck/Reeves/WB.

Ok, so there might be a little truth in this rumor. At SDCC, WB just announced a whole bunch of DCEU films including Flashpoint. In Flashpoint, the Flash used Speed Force to travel back in time in an attempt to save his mom. This act caused a ripple effect through out the timeline and opened up an alternate reality in which Bruce Wayne was shot dead. His mom Martha Wayne, too traumatized by the loss of her son, went insane and became the Joker while his dad Thomas Wayne became the Batman. So I guess this rumor stemmed from the fact that WB is searching for an actor (Jeffrey Dean Morgan?) to play Thomas Wayne/Batman in this alternate reality. Ben Affeck is still the prime Batman of Earth 1 reality.

JDM is 51 He isn't taking over full time.
That story works great for Flashpoint but not for the rest of the story. People complained about batman killing... this one uses nothing but guns and has little fighting skill.

The Batman is a couple years away so plenty of time for BA to sort those personal issues out.

Kevin Conroy declares Ben Affleck the best Batman (and Bruce Wayne)

“Yeah, I see them,” Conroy said of the Batman movies. “You know, I thought it was weird when Warner Bros. didn’t give the franchise to one actor when they first started doing the films. You just assumed they were going to cast a Batman and he was going to carry the whole franchise. But then when I saw the different ones — Michael Keaton and Val Kilmer, [George Clooney], and Christian Bale — all the different takes, this was really smart, because each actor does it so differently. And I love seeing all the different takes. I think some of them get Bruce Wayne more than they get Batman, and some of them get Batman more than they get Bruce Wayne. I think Ben Affleck has probably gotten the best balance of the two. He’s a really good Bruce Wayne and a really good Batman.”
