The Batman

Watched about an hour yesterday before I went to bed, had to get up early and didn't think it would be a 3h movie lol. Continue watching tonight.
I will say though, it doesn't feel like the Batman tbh, and neither do it feel like a Bruce Wayne. It's not necessarily bad though, we've had almost exclusively the Superhero Batman since 89, so this do feel like a fresh breath of air.

Edit:
So, I finished it...
It's a very good movie... I'm still not sure what I think about the Batman part of it (imo it didn't have to be Batman) but it's an interesting take at least.
The suit isn't great, it's actually the worst it's been since Batman forever imo.
Pattinson is a pretty good actor and Kravitz too (even though I really dislike her persona in interviews etc).
Also, I watched the Long Halloween part 1 and 2 before this and it's clearly taken a lot from that, but imo those movies are better.

Overall, a fine movie; 8,4/10

I actually think it feels THE MOST like the Batman comics of the last 30 years. Might be my favorite overall Batman film because of it.
Really? I'm getting a feeling of low budget cosplay and YouTube short movies at times lol
I'm getting what they went for in regards to some of the comics, but for me it's a swing and a miss.
Opinions I guess.

This is my take as well. Really concentrated on the detective aspect of Batman, which I feel the Nolan trilogy didn't dive into as much. Loved the darker tones, and The Riddler was a great villain until pretty much the very end. The "Gotham Squared Garden" scenes really fell flat for me but that may be due to being exhausted by the end of the movie lol.

I'd give it a solid B, and look forward to any sequels they may do in the future.

I'd be hugely disappointed if they didn't do another movie with Joker in it. I'm a little worried they are doing spinoffs without Batman though. Don't think you can spin off these characters without Batman.

If I remember right Reeves has said if he did more his Joker would not be a focus. Seems like he wants to do stuff we haven’t seen in the live action films.

I liked it alot. He was a more "tangible" Batman. He felt more human and not a comic book hero. He was among the people too, which was different...rather than being all alone. Yet he was still alone...if you get my meaning.
