Loved the show, went all the way.

Sadly it went downhill during season 2. Peter leaving his Irish girlfriend in some messed up future

Yeah he just forgot her ass lol. And then Sylar they couldn't figure out whether to make him a bad or good guy.

Wow that was a surprise for me, tho was rumors that would return.
Yes, season 1 was the strongest of them.

Haven't seen a single show on Heroes. I might check it out on Netflix (I think they have it if I'm not mistaken).

I think Sylar was one of the many problems that started with season 2, no disrespect to Quinto of course. Sylar was terrific during the season 1 but after that he just got boring. Not to mention he was redeemed at the end of the series which I found so bad because after everything he did throughout the series he was not a character with redeemable qualities.

I might be one of the few fans that wanted him to die in season 1.

Snowpiercer is far from perfect. It's very inconsistent, hence comparison to Apocalypse Now. I kinda know where you think the movie can be cut, for there are parts that severely drag the film, and apparently Weinstein wanted to cut those dragging sequences. But I'm not sure if the movie will work with it, when the movie's purpose is to show the apocalyptic world to the audience. That said I keep hearing that Snowpiercer had an overbearing theme, but IMO that term is more for The Host than Snowpiercer. Characters here are too over-the-top and extreme to be taken seriously. Main conflict of the movie is clearly a class conflict, but that's where the direct link to real world stops. I see it as a great genre film that asks a very abstract question.

BTW where and when did you watch the film?

it is a film with a large societal theme (such as inequality and how it materialises), but it blatantly has no trust with the strength of that matter alone and so attempts to sweeten the deal with action and bog-standard personal drama, and to me, if such vast themes are going to actually be addressed (which clearly was the intent to some degree), this doesn't seem like a good way to deliver them.

i watched it in thailand when i there on holiday, about a month or two ago. had no idea what the film was except for seeing the poster with the director's on it

Was great but I never finished the last season.

I think time travel is always a horrible idea to add to any show/movie

Saw and loved it. Wouldn't say it's better than the original, as the original cast of that movie is so much more memorable, but this was a great movie in my opinion. Awesome action, good stoyline and effects, and it brought some pretty nightmarish moments I think. Seeing Robocop with nothing but his guts and head is pretty crazy. Makes me excited for Godzilla in terms of it being a cool reboot.

Looks like Frozen will be next to hit $1 billionth club!!! Currently at $980.4 billion and it hasn't released in Japan just yet!! Has anyone seen this movie? It must be really good, eh? I haven't seen it.

A movie retelling the battle for video game dominance between Nintendo and Sega during the early '90s is on the way — and it's being produced by Sony. "Console Wars: Sega, Nintendo and the Battle that Defined a Generation" by Blake Harris is being adapted for the silver screen by Scott Rudin, Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg — with the latter two writing the script.

The news has hit most gaming outlets now thanks to a news press release from Atlantic Books, the book's new United Kingdom distributor:

Sony Pictures and Scott Rudin (Moneyball, The Social Network) are developing Console Wars as a feature film to be directed by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg (Knocked Up, Superbad). Rogen and Goldberg are also writing the screenplay. Harris is serving as Executive Producer, and is also co-directing a documentary on the same subject, with Rudin, Rogen and Goldberg producing as well.

Sony Pictures Animation is reportedly moving quickly on The Smurfs 3 and switching things up for their next screen outing. According to Variety, "Sony is fast-tracking its third Smurfs installment, which will be entirely animated (its predecessors were live action/animated hybrids).

I thought the first movie was okay. Felt like it was trying so hard to be funny. The second movie, I haven't seen it still.
