Today i woke up with my decision. This Spring, i'm taking my talents to Xbox Live and playing the Xbox One.

Now that i've played both the Xbox One and the PS4 and had time to think about it. The Xbox One is just the better machine in my opinion. Nothing's changed from last gen when the 360 was the go to gaming machine over the PS3. I still like the Xbox controller more than the DS4 even though the controller is much improved this time around for Sony's machine. I still like achievements more than trophies. Most of my friends are still gaming on Xbox and they don't want to make the switch. Xbox just feels like my true home.

Then there's the games. Obviously last gen the exclusives became few and far between as time went on with the Xbox 360. You could argue that the PS3 had better exclusives with Hollywood production values and at one point i felt the same way. The problem was, i'd beat them and then come back to what i knew and love. Those awesome 360 exclusives such as Halo, Gears, and Forza that offered me endless hours of multiplayer fun. Not one PS3 exclusive took care of my gaming needs that way. I'd trade all the PS3 exclusives for the Gears of War franchise alone, any day of the week.

What's to say that's going to be any different this gen with the Xbox One and PS4? Maybe i'm jumping the gun here as this gen just started but i'm already seeing a trend. The Xbox One has just about every great game the PS4 has and it has Titanfall already with Halo 5 coming. What's Sony's answer to that? Another Infamous, which will be great and i'll be playing it but then what? You can already see that Microsoft is going to be the one to deliver those must have games just like they did last gen.

I don't believe for one minute that the PS4 is going to have vastly better third party games either. I've played a few third party games on both the Xbox One and PS4 and i haven't seen much of a difference. One being Call of Duty: Ghosts. It's supposedly better on the PS4? I'm not seeing it. Xbox is still the true home of Call of Duty, we get the DLC first. That's a bigger deal than having a few more pixels anyway. Plus the One's controller is much better for shooters.

Now don't get me wrong, i like my PS4 and i'm going to play the hell out of it this gen. At the end of the day though, it just doesn't stack up to the Xbox One in my opinion. Sony caught up in features and made a better controller. PS+ is better than Games with Gold for the freebies but that's about it. Sorry, i'm not letting some PR and a group of people hating on the internet change my mind about anything. The Xbox One is the best place to play games.

Well if money isn't a issue ie a person could buy a console at $400/500 and a year from now buy another for $400/500 then I recommend the Xbox One over the PS4 as the Xbox One has the better 2014 lineup.

But if money is a issue/or a person couldn't buy both within a year/was only buying one for the generation....id go with the PS4 as I think Sony will put out better looking/playing games then MS.
