Official Thread The Division v. 2

Him supporting the practice he complains about=lol

it's kinda like destiny sux!

But he plays it thousands of hours.

But hey it is his money so he can do as he pleases.
I don't support it, though. There was no other version with the year 1 pass.

Oh please. Destiny has so much wrong with it. Just because I played it doesn't mean those issues suddenly vanished. I know it is hard for dumbass fanboys to accept, though.

You do with your wallet.

I am very critical of Destiny 2 and its many issues.

Dumbass fanboy eh?

A person who puts thousands of hours into games they don't like is a nut case!

That is hilarious. I'm a nuutcase for being critical, but somehow it is fine when you do it. What an idiot.

Don’t try to explain the difference between voicing a concern about a bad market practice but still getting enjoyment about what’s being delivered. Not to Val. His mind can’t handle something so crazy!!

Still a couple of days for me too. I am basically checking when I get to the X to see what version number is installed since I don't know if it's the day one patch yet or not.

I'm still on fence with this. I liked the first one but got bored after awhile. Then got fed up getting hammered in dark zone everytime time.

Those that have been playing it, what do you guys think so far?

I'm really loving it. I didn't follow the game to closely so I hadn't really any hype or expectations for it but what they have delivered is excellent. If you liked the first game I think you would find this really enjoyable.

I only put a few hours into the first game on Game Pass. I’ve never got a online loot shooter like this at launch. Feels like a good time to jump in.

I don't usually care much for Online shooters either, but the first Division game just sucked me in. All the detail, and a fun SP experience made it work for me. The atmosphere and tactical game-play are excellent, and the improved AI in the beta made it even more fun to play.

Did my first Stronghold last night, it was a 90 minute nightmare. Just a s***tonne of enemies, lots of elites, way too agressive. We spent most of our time having to back track into areas you shouldn't be fighting in. They do way too much damage. They just waltz through your gunfire. Alot of the rooms have big heavy elites that destroy your crowd control skills.

Well, sounds like the game is too hard for me. Glad I bought it. :txbmad:

Where you under leveled for it? Or at the mission level?

Hopefully we can just get better gear before going in. I usually do that in games like this. Early on higher end content is tough but you can just gear up better and make it a lot easier (I hope, I don't get to play D2 until later today).

Hmmm...just did the second Stronghold on Roosevelt Island and this one was much better, tough, but I had fun in this one.

I think the problem with the first one is that it is all indoors and doesn't have much room for moving. The second one is more open.

I will not be able to start till Sun morning.

Any tips and skills you guys recommend for a someone new?

I would just play with what you think you'll have fun with. It's all up to your play style. That's me. At some point, I think you'll be able to unlock most of the skills and passive perks, so you won't lock your character to anything specific.

That being said...turrets is a good and simple skill to start with. It's what it sounds like. Deploy it and have some extra fire power. Good for solo game play.

I put in some solid work yesterday, but I still am mediocreish at best at the game so that was fun. I ended up going with healing drone first and then turret as second skill, since I had done the turret / seeker mine in the beta and found out that it's a highly effective way to die quickly. I just unlocked a third skill last night, the revive hive, which I imagine I'll try to remember to equip on things like control points and other non-checkpoing missions.

I got a really nice rifle at level 3 that I used up until 6 (and even when I switched, it was a slight downgrade in DMG, but it had a nice secondary talent). Picked up a few shotguns during level 6 and got a MMR early at level seven, so I've been rolling with a rifle in 1, shotgun in 2 and the MMR favorited so I can switch to it situationally. But I'm mostly still running around and doing the side missions and control points so I'm not as far in the main storyline - like, just unlocked the Clan staff member, which I presume should have been done ages ago.

So, yeah, I relatively suck but I'm having a blast.

I went with the chem launcher. Hopefully that's useful. I'm loving the gunplay so far, but I'm not far in yet.

Chem launcher isn’t as good as I thought it would be. I have the riot foam and the armor heal. The riot foam only holds them for about 4 seconds and the armor heal only lasts about 5 seconds and it barely restores any armor.
