Official Thread The Division v. 2

I was doing a project that awards you a false son's outfit I think? I have it done but two missions. One at DCD and the other is somewhere on the east side. Problem is I've already done these missions and nothing is showing up at either of these places.
Maybe you have to replay the missions?
 
There's nothing that allows me to replay. I just went to one location thinking it would trigger something but nothing happened.
All main missions can be replayed by holding Y on the mission icon on the map, just select a difficulty.
 
This game is awesome. Its not perfect but still awesome.

I've got a really nice set-up with my MK17/M60 combo that does high damage. This has been my main build sitting at GS501. It can be improved but I have all sorts of beefy stat bonuses and weapon talents to improve damage. Its time to further my loadouts and make an assault rifle build. That should be fun.

My main problem with this game is how the enemies behave. I love how the enemies stagger and move around so they are not just standing there taking damage. What I have a problem with is even with 90% elite damage on higher difficulties they can still rush me and down me before I can kill them. Their armor is just too tough. The only way I can burst them down is if I hit each and every shot which is tough as they run at me and I take fire from his homies. I just think the enemy AI while good in most cases is just too damn aggressive.

BTW, that weapon talent that grants increased rate of fire and weapon damage after reload on a LMG is GLORIOUS.

That rushing on higher difficulties is not intentional. The enemy NPCs areN't reading your Hit points like they should and thus they always assume they are far stronger than you and rush.

My main build is a kinda hybrid with AR primary. Decent DPS with 2200 skill power for healing. It is far from optimized.

I was using Unstoppable Force and Compensated for weapon damage buffs but Unstoppable Force doesn't seem as powerful as it should. Compensated is far too restrictive for a 15% damage buff. So, I changed to Berserk & On the Ropes and my build feels stronger for it.
 
I'm also rocking a rifle/LMG build. Until I got the 500 Mk17, I'd been carrying my GS 450 classic M1A, which has 10 bullet magazine and still more damage per bullet than even the new MK17 at 500. I had an LMG with extra, unhinged and I got a +25 round mod and the long and short of that was that I had 162 rounds - though the reload time was crap. I cleaned up my inventory this morning and I've switched to something else to test it out.

Still not putting anything into skill power at this point. I have under 1000 for sure.

Unstoppable force seems noticeable for me. I'm at around 230k armor, though, so I definitely notice the difference between when it's active and when it's not.
 
I was fine with the 240B for awhile, but as the groups get bigger, the reload time is just too compromising. I just experienced my first axe wielding elite! Scared the crap out of me!
 
My server connection was crap tonight. I stutter-died like three times on a freaking hard mission. I finally noticed they had me on a European server, so I ended up trying to join Busterman, didn't see it go through, logged out and logged back in and finally did a couple of bounties. I was then going to start the challenging missio and the lag was real again - not empty an entire mag into an enemy who stands there and then ten seconds later he and I both die, but not good.
 
Does anyone else get bad texture pop in on the X? I love the fast load times and everything but damn it can be ugly.

I had 220K armour with unstoppable force, should be giving 44% extra damage. It isn't that it wasn't noticeable, it is that it didn't feel anywhere near 44%. I mean 44% of 26K is alot, but it doesn't feel like hit that hard with it.

  • Fixed an issue where enemy NPCs could get stuck in a T-pose when being killed out of view.
  • Fixed another issue with the Revive Hive not working properly. We are still working on instances where the skill sometimes will not resurrect players.
  • Fixed an issue where the Gila Guard brand gear could not be donated to the Campus Daily Project “Brand Request: Gila Guard”.
  • Fixed an issue where the Crafting Bench upgrade blueprint would not be granted to players when moving from one World Tier to another.
  • Fixed an issue where the two piece bonus of the True Patriot gear set would not trigger correctly.
 
Why does RNG hate me so much. Hundreds of pieces of gear and not one usable for my build :sad:

Haven’t been on since last Friday so I’m falling behind a bit in gear I think. What’s the raid requirement? 450?
 
Use the favorite function so you don't accidentally mark a vital piece of gear as junk and then dismantle it. Yup, that's what I did but its been kind of a blessing since I lost about 15% elite damage but gained headshot damage ( up to 105%) from the replacement. I need some better rolls on some of my other gear pieces but I've got my damage per bullet on the MK17 I'm using to about 47k and its served me well. I wonder what's the crit cap, I'm hovering at around 45% and hope to go higher with some luck.

Crit chance cap is 60%.

I use a black market AK and it shoots nice. Gave all stability mods and the weapon talent for handling.

Police M4 is a laser beam.

The revive issue struck me a couple of times. Annoyingly once I was trying to do a propaganda outpost mission to boost a CP when an elite patrol including one of the deck of cards guys wandered in and got me from behind. I got up and was in cover, but could not move. Still managed to gun down everything, there, fast traveled away, still couldn't move. Managed to fast travel somewhere that wasn't a safe zone, threw down grenades trying to die all the way, but it took too long and I healed up, so I finally did a switch servers and then all the stuff was gone from where I died.

Difficulty has been significantly decreased in Hard? Really? My internet connection has been s*** (switching to fiber soon), and even still I generally only die if I am *really* stuck in lag central or in a rush to finish the final area too quickly. Heck, Challenging isn't even that hard, and I'm not that good. But the increased variety will be nice, and hopefully the reduction of health might reduce the number of guys who tend to be alive with 0.04% of their health bar after I shoot them.

The State of the Game is up now, too. They're changing a lot of talents. A lot. Raid is coming next month now.

Forgot to ask but is the Merciless exotic rifle any good? I got it yesterday at the Jefferson Trade Center boss drop but haven't used it yet. I was wondering if I can use its holstered perk of a small chance to cause explosions with a LMG and then modding the increased explosive talent on all gear to make some kind of fun build.

It is pretty crap to be honest.

You can do that with the holstered perk, but you will soon dismantle that build. 1. The explosive is too infrequent. 2 the amount of extra damge is actually poor.

Thanks for letting me know before investing the time to put a build together. I should have known given what they did with Gear Sets and how they are pretty much worthless.

Ohh well, more time to tweak my current rifle/lmg build and put together an assault rifle/??? I'm not sure what to pair an AR with.
 
Raid delayed until May....for the better I guess,now that they have a PTS on PC,it will make for better patches...hopefully.

Got to W5 this weekend,gearing for over 475 now so I can die multiple times on that last section of Tidal Basin lol... ;)

Are you on the PC version?
 
I see the DZ is about to get worse. Less non-contaminated drops. Everybody is getting squeezed in to one WT bracket. Oh and shockingly they are now making 515 GS drops DZ only...so we back to trying to force people in to the DZ....pretty sue this is occupied DZ only.
