Official Thread The Division v. 2

Is Gila brand the only one to offer knee pads with two mod slots? I swear I could really use a spreadsheet on brand set offerings to plan out my builds.

My rifle glass-cannon build is even better now. Got my per bullet damage up to 51K, heashot damage to 114%, elite damage at 100%, crits at 45% but my crit damage is low at like 65%. I melt elites but if caught in the open they melt me as well, lol.

My assault rifle build is not that great right now and needs improvement. I'm not sure I like the on the ropes talent, its 25% weapon damage buff on skill cooldown doesn't work for my play style since I use the chem launcher a revive hive. I guess I can swap that out for something like a turret and use the healing drone. That would make sure my skills are on cooldown most of the time but it also means I have to rely on teammates for revive when I go down which I don't like so much.

Looks like Gila and Ongoing Directive are the only two with two mod slots. I usually look for two talents so I know Fenris AB has those.

I haven't played much the last few days. I might a little this afternoon, but I got side tracked this weekend starting Borderlands (I never played either of them and finally decided to give them a go). At some point I'm going to need to start finally distilling what I actually want from my build and starting to focus on the items to make it happen, but with recalibration changing and 515 coming in raids and DZ anyhow, I'm not in a real rush.

Thanks man, that PDF should prove useful for build planning. I thought by now I'd be tired of this game and be more than ready to move on. Days Gone comes out on Friday and I was really looking forward to it. I still want to play that game but I'm thinking of holding off on it since I'm kind of hooked on Division 2 right now. I can get a little obsessive searching for the right pieces for my builds but more than that the missions and general gunplay is a lot of fun in D2.

Listening to SOTG now. They're going to make high ends drop at your gear score now, and purples will as well (up to the 490 cap for those). Thank effing goodness.

Was disappointing to be honest.

Took way too long and overcomplicated the recalibration change. You get higher caps now, end of.

The aux battery seems kind of pointless. Skills in general aren't powerful enough when you go full on skill build. So, an aux battery that basically halves the potential so you can equip a an average mod into a weak skill seems kinda meh.

Still no talk about gear sets and exotics.

Overall part 1 is a better game.
Still expect this one to become better though.
I agree. Except for the AI, which is far better in 2. Which does make the encounters much more fun. I liked the setting, atmosphere, and story more in the first game.

I've been looking for more survivability because my glass cannon rifle build goes down too easily. So I switched things around to include more gear talents. I'm now running Unstoppable Force, Safeguard and Patience. My armor is well over 250k and I've only lost a little bit of raw damage most of which I get back from unstoppable force. I really hope the devs go easy on the nerfs and/or changes to talents. But with a little mixing around of gear I could probably ditch Patience for On the Ropes. But I've come to love Patience.

Just got this game and played for a couple hours last night. Never played the first one, any tips?

Finally hit level 30 and finished the main story....wow, crazy endgame! It’s like the game started over, but my character is jacked up.

This plus year 1 stuff means I’ll probably be playing this for quite some time.

The AI is really good and tough. Be ready to die a lot. Use cover and be ready to fall back when it gets heavy. Don't try and be Rambo. Gun fights take some time to finish (if you rush in you'll get killed). A healing ability is a must for solo play. The chem launcher with healing is a great thing to start with (you can basically shoot the ground at your feet and regain health and armor).

I died a ton in the game but am having tons of fun too.

My advice would be to take stock of what Brand Sets offer and plan your build around that. I would also say if you primarily want to deal damage then don't worry that much about unlocking gear talents and just stack red offensive attributes and use weapon damage mods by using gear with offensive mod slots.

I built a tank or at least as close to a tank as possible with Unstoppable Force, Patience and Safeguard but while survivability is through the roof my offense has suffered a bit. So for this game the best defense is overwhelming offense. I sure wish builds that take the effort to unlock talents performed better but because of that I've reverted back to my glass cannon build and even improved on it with base per bullet damage from my rifle at 55k, 114K headshot damage, 93% elite damage and 29% critical hit chance with a little over 200k armor but low health at like 34k so if caught out in the open I'm dead but otherwise I destroy pretty much everything even heavies thanks to the awesome weapon talent on my LMG (Frenzy).

I honestly didn't bother with any build until I started getting purple gear and got in the high 20s. I just used the highest damage and armor numbers and didn't even bother reading the perks on it.

Yeah I mean I'm only level 4 right now, so I've only really been just been equipping greens and such.

The two perks I unlocked so far were the regular turret, and the Pulse that you throw that highlights where enemies are. Probably going to mainly be playing with buddies so I figured that would be a good start.

Just learned today that you can pick up your turret by holding RB.....wish I had known that last night :)

Yeah, my above advice was premature. The campaign is a lot of fun. But one piece of advice that does come to mind that is really useful is save your low level weapon/gear mods. Do not I repeat DO NOT TRASH low level mods. There is supposed to be a patch to fix this issue but until that comes as of right now being a lowbie is the only way to acquire those very useful mods. I refuse to make another agent to grind that out but if I had kept some of those 6% increase to weapon damage my builds would be even better.

Title update 3 comes early next week. Raid will be a little after TU3--I would imagine the following week.

Has 3 pages worth of talent changes apparently.
NPC nerfs
Civilian buffs and behavior changes.
515 GS items are no longer a thing anywhere.

I've taken time off from D2. Might go back and see what's new before the raid; however, Rage 2.

I stopped playing too. Seemed kinda pointless playing with TU3 having so many significant changes in regards to builds. I'll ge getting back knto it once TU3 drops.

Damn, Safeguard will require 4 or less offensive attributes. That's really going to mess up my build because right now it requires 5 or less and that really limits my damage potential. I think I'll have to say goodbye to that gear talent. And the change to Unstoppable Force means I'm taking a further hit to damage. I'm looking forward to checking out the Raid but 8 players seems a bit high and coordination is going to be a challenge since most don't use a mic. Honestly, I think I should have taken a break and waited until the new update came out because I'm starting to get tired of the game. I've been farming lvl3 control points for blueprints and I just can't seem to get anything for my Rifle. Ohh well, definitely got my monies worth with well over 150hrs in this game.

I used to be hyped for the raid , but going by the content in this game, it'll will likely be ridiculously long and boil down to not much more than a bigger stronghold.

I killed off the clan as not many were playing and some left.

I am down for the 8 player raid though.
You needed way too many people to even achieve those rewards anyway.

I'm still good for the raid.

I guess I missed the part in the patch notes that said they are lowering the rate of fire for rifles and it sucks. But its not the end of the world and since they nerfed elite enemies I can steamroll over anything in the challenging missions or lvl4 control points. I've yet to test heroic but I don't see it being that much more difficult since that too has had a slight nerf to enemy health and damage. I finally got the Nemesis rifle for the holstered perk of increased headshot damage by 25% and with the increase in armor I was wrong about the nerf to Unstoppable Force, it seems about the same which gives me a little over 20% damage increase and with the 129% headshot damage I now have things are made dead very quickly. Also, like the new options to get blueprints.

Did a challenging mission--if you can call it that now--and got 1 measely specialization ammo....is it broken? Again.
