Consider me surprised on what I'm hearing about Sasse. He has in the past seemed to be one of the more reasonable Republicans but more often than not towed the line.

On the next episode of Stupid Watergate, the House to vote on holding Barr in contempt on Wednesday if he doesn't hand over the unredacted Mueller report. What's going to happen? TUNE IN TO FIND OUT

The bimbo katrina pierson shared a blatant lie in hopes to stroke anger and violence against the people of Palestine, and I posted the below in response. They kept her video and temporarily locked Union’s twitter account. I appealed it considering they haven’t banned donald trump when he’s tweeted encouraging violence against people who do not bow to him.

@KatrinaPierson @IlhanMN Once a stupid bimbo who slept her way to a new job, always a stupid bimbo who slept her way to a new job.

it's yours and all, but using the sites twitter account for that seems like bad business. I think it better to use a more anonymous personal account over one that's technically speaking for everyone here.

I'd hate for it to actually gain notoriety over this and begin to attract a worse crowd.

I use the account once in a while to make a political opinion. When I see bulls*** I call it out. I can see where you're coming from and I agree that it could be seen as speaking for everyone, and I almost always try to use "I" when it's warranted. I see it as using the little outreach the Twitter account has as a platform to speak out. I will take your criticism and put it to use when I decide to make a political statement from the account.

As far as attracting a worse crowd, not possible since I approve each member individually after vetting if they're a real person or not.

Microsoft's new software detects hacking, tracks ballot through the system
May 6 (UPI) -- Microsoft Corp. has launched new software that makes it more difficult to hack elections, detects whether a cyber intrusion has occurred and determines whether the results are compromised.
Called ElectionGuard, the free software could be tested in some U.S. elections this year but won't be widely deployed in time for the U.S. presidential election November 2020.
"It will not be possible to 'hack' the vote without detection," Tom Burt, Microsoft vice president of Customer Security & Trust, in a blog post.
Microsoft officially announced the software Monday at an industry conference in Seattle.
"It's very much like the cybersecurity version of a tamper-proof bottle," Burt told NPR. "Tamper-proof bottles don't prevent any hack of the contents inside of the bottle, but it makes it harder, and it definitely reveals when the tampering has occurred."
Microsoft is also developing the Defending Democracy software that protects campaigns, government agencies and think-tanks from phishing attacks and other hacking attempts. That technology already has stopped attacks against campaigns and organizations in the United States and Europe, the company said.

Iran without nukes makes the world a little less awful, but no, we had to pull out of that deal and replace it with... nothing.

Our allies are desperately trying to hold Iran to the deal, but of course we pulled out.

The world is a much less safer place now that a conman grifter is perverting the White House.

All market gains made this year are gonna be wiped out in weeks.
People need to be ready for the big recession. It may come tomorrow or a year from now, but one is coming.

I've seen this cycle a bunch of times now. Republicans rack up tons of debt and tell everyone how great the economy is going until the bottom drops out. Then they just blame the Democrat who inherited their massive mess.

Back when trump was roasted on Comedy Central...

https://www.vulture.com/2016/08/donald-trump-roast-off-limits-joke.html

Remember the epic Comedy Central roast of Donald Trump back in 2011? Comics from Lisa Lampanelli to Snoop Dogg (!!) roasted the Orange One to a crisp, dogging him for his hair (“What do you say to a barber to get that type of haircut … ‘I f***ed your daughter?’” asked Lampanelli) to his creepy relationship with his daughter (“The Donald and I have a lot in common: We both live in New York, we both play golf, we both fantasize about his daughter,” joked Jeff Ross). According to Aaron Lee, who has written for almost every Comedy Central roast since Pamela Anderson’s in 2005, Trump said that there was only one topic that was off-limits for the show.* “Each year, the ‘roastee’ has certain topics they declare off-limits,” Lee writes on List. “It’s always interesting to learn what is ‘sacred’ for a celebrity.”
Here’s a rundown of what was allowed and not allowed:
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump’s hair
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump’s wife Melania (and his two previous marriages)
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump having sex with models
ALLOWED: Jokes about the failure of Trump Steaks, Trump Water, Trump Cologne, and other Trump products
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump’s failed casinos
ALLOWED: Jokes about how Trump only became successful thanks to his wealthy father
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump’s weight
ALLOWED: Jokes about Trump being attracted to his daughter Ivanka
NOT ALLOWED: Any joke that suggests Trump is not actually as wealthy as he claims to be
Anthony Jeselnik, one of Trump’s roasters, also noted the same thing during a conversation with Joan Rivers on In Bed With Joan back in 2013. “Donald Trump’s rule was, don’t say I have less money than I say I do,” Jeselnik said. “Make fun of my kids, do whatever you want, just don’t say I don’t have that much money.”
