I will gladly pay $7000 more in taxes each year to make sure I have healthcare with zero out of pocket costs. I'm currently paying $500 out of pocket each month.

Let's never forget the early days of the Tea Party was these geniuses yelling that they wanted "Government to stay out of my Medicare!"

One more reason to stonewall the Mueller report going to Congress knocked down:

Subpoenas also issued for

“Donald F. McGahn II, a former White House counsel; Stephen K. Bannon, the president’s former chief strategist; Hope Hicks, a former White House communications director; Reince Priebus, the president’s first chief of staff; and Annie Donaldson, a deputy of Mr. McGahn.”

Now, of course, some of Mueller's team is suggesting that there's more to the report and that they actually created summaries that were designed for different audiences (e.g., one for public, one for Congress at large, one for Congress with security clearance, though the specific groups were not made clear so I'm guessing). Shockingly, they're suggesting also that, just maybe, the Attorney General's "summary" may have been slightly less than accurate.

Plus, I got to add this broadside at the NYT, who publishes all the news that's given to them by any Trump insider.

barr is f***ing dirty. I tried to give him the benefit of the doubt. f*** him.

From WaPo
Some members of the office were particularly disappointed that Barr did not release summary information the special counsel team had prepared, according to two people familiar with their reactions.
“There was immediate displeasure from the team when they saw how the attorney general had characterized their work instead,” according one U.S. official briefed on the matter.
Summaries were prepared for different sections of the report, with a view that they could made public, the official said.
The report was prepared “so that the front matter from each section could have been released immediately — or very quickly,” the official said. “It was done in a way that minimum redactions, if any, would have been necessary, and the work would have spoken for itself.”
Mueller’s team assumed the information was going to be made available to the public, the official said, “and so they prepared their summaries to be shared in their own words — and not in the attorney general’s summary of their work, as turned out to be the case.”

Congress needs to see that report. The longer this goes on, the more danger this country is in. There's obviously things in here that are damaging to Trump and he shouldn't be allowed to bury them. What happened to the "transparency" that was necessary in other investigations?

It's my understanding that members of at least the judiciary and intel committees have the required security clearances to view anything that would be on the report, so redactions for them wouldn't be necessary. Then again, I suppose if people on either of those committees were to be caught up in the investigation that might be a little awkward.

People are surprised to learn the guy who previously supported pardoning criminals from the Iran-Contra scandal and who was brought in to do the same thing because the previous acting AG was illegitimate and a criminal who replaced another AG with a racist history, had questionable involvement with Russian causing him to recuse himself, told Congress he could not recall his actions two dozen times, and was fired the day after elections to avoid any political responsibility because Trump fired the director of the FBI and said on TV because it was the Russian investigation. Yeah...that's one long as sentence.

Is it surprising the people dumb enough to vote for Trump would be dumb enough to believe he is cleared?

What's surprising is that the supposed "liberal media" has been complicit in the "Mueller report clears Trump" story, when it actually says even in Barr's cherry-picked whitewashing that the report could not exonerate Trump on obstruction. They'll report whatever bulls*** is fed to them without bothering to actually call out things that are demonstrably factually untrue.

Yep, unfortunately the media wants instant ratings. They don't care about the facts, they want to get the story out there. A few days after the report came out they ran a story basically saying "Oh well, Nancy Pelosi was right about impeachment". They need to have the "big story" immediately when there's no story until we read the report.

We should accept nothing from them except the report itself. We shouldn't even be discussing whatever letter the AG sent.

Instead they are letting Trump dictate the dialog for the umpteenth time.

Some good replies here.

You'd think with the unlimited resources available to them as state-run media that they could afford to get actual protective material instead of a backwards backpack.
