This is disgusting. Now, I'm the kind of person who usually feels people are too critical of gaming companies in general. I tend to think there's a lot of manufactured drama. For all my left leaning tendencies (I never see myself as truly liberal), I believe in capitalism. Companies like EA aren't altruistic, they are profit driven. People rage at them and say they are "greedy". I chuckle and say "yeah, exactly".

This really pushes the buttons for me though. This is about profit, but it goes beyond that. It is about putting profit over personal freedom. It is profit at the expense of free expression, and for those in Hong Kong, it is a very real evaporation of many freedoms. When companies try and take my money, I can always walk away. This feels different though. These companies are now partially owned by an evil regime.

For as divided as the US and many parts of the world should be, we should all be uniting against everything China does and stands for.

There probably is only one person who would mention it

Actually, I almost half-expect Warren or Sanders to come out and say that while Trump's allegations are definitely untrue, it's a symptom of the corruption culture where relatives of important people are given money and 'jobs' because of who they are, and that there needs to be changes to the laws surrounding it.

And of course the whole selling out of the Kurds was about avoiding forever wars, because we know Trump's a man of conviction and... oh...

The alternate explanation is the Kurds can't afford to book hundreds of unused hotel rooms.

I agree. It shouldn't be mentioned and there should not be any question even hinting at it. They better not give any fodder to the Orange a******.

I disagree, he should address it head on for everyone to see and if other candidates are asked about it they should give an honest answer about how their administrations would handle such things. Andrew Yang was asked about it and he said he wouldn't allow his family or his VP's family to serve on foreign or domestic boards while he and his VP are in office and that seems like a very reasonable approach to take. Regardless of the legality of it there isn't really any way of defending the VP's son being put on the board of a foreign gas company when he has no expertise in that field, he was clearly given that job because of who he is. That doesn't mean Joe did anything illegal but it still looks swampy as hell and it shouldn't be allowed going forward and democrats shouldn't keep defending it because it just makes us look like hypocrites.

Well many of the candidates have said similar things. They are better off ignoring it as much as possible because people are too stupid. Attacking Biden will lead to them thinking Trump is right. Can't let him change the narrative.

There is a big difference between defending it and bringing it up at the debate. Nobody should bring it up at the debate.

I don't think any of them will but that doesn't mean the moderators won't, it would almost seem criminal of them not to as much as it has been in the news the last couple of weeks. We'll see, the MSM has been pretty much in the tank for Biden but it may be asking too much of them not to bring it up.

I don't know how many other candidates have said what Yang has, the way he worded it by saying "it's not asking much for them to take 4-8 years and not be on a board" was a pretty common sense approach. Sadly I know Warren said it wouldn't be banned in her administration.

Maybe Tulsi will show up and throw this in Biden's face? ( I'm doubting her boycott of the debate is serious )

Kamala Harris was asked if she would let a child serve in a similar way and said probably not but was very defensive of Biden as a whole
Beto said he wouldn't allow his or his cabinet's kids to do so
Klobuchar was firm that she wouldn't
Warren just ignores the question and goes back to what Trump did
Bernie hasn't said much but he wouldn't even attack Hillary over her emails so I doubt he is going to say much about this

I think saying they wouldn't let their kids do it is the right stance but I don't think they should attack him. You want to talk about how impeachment backfires? That is the start of how it does. The more corrupt you try to make Biden the more fair Trump looks for what he did. They can score cheap points in some other way.

No Democrat (candidate or moderator) should bring up Biden's son. The right is inventing a scandal out of absolutely nothing.

It is complete nonsense, and even repeating it gives it more weight than it deserves.

We spent so much time talking about Hillary's e-mails, but at least that was a legit thing. Still we let the right dominate the narrative.

If you ever wonder why Republicans can keep winning elections when they don't seem to have the numbers, it is because of things like this.

How much time to Republicans spend worrying about Trump's multiple scandals and outright crimes?
