To be fair, Hillary's out on a speaking tour trying to sell books. People have to take cell phone videos of her and put it on the internet, and then accuse her of looking for attention. Granted she's speaking in public so it is fair game, but it also isn't like she's going on CNN every day weighing in on the election. If she really wanted a big stage, she could certainly get it. Her interview on Stern was great, and she barely talked politics.

She's releasing a book during an election year, again she's marketing herself when something bigger is going on and she has to try to capitalize on it.

Bernie has really come on in the polls. Definitely has a great chance of winning the first couple states. Just wish I felt better about his chances vs Trump especially since a Sanders administration probably doesn't end up that much different than a Biden one even though people wouldn't want to believe that.

His VP pic has to be flawless. AOC isn't. I hope he's not thinking of that as some rumors I've read have suggested.

AOC wouldn't be eligible.

He should reach somewhat towards the center with his VP pick but I don't think he would do that.

Bernie leading scares me. Not because I'm afraid of his politics, but he'll sure as heck scare a bunch of nervous centrists. I just really think a far left shift is going to be tough in the general election. I know, the GOP and Fox will paint anyone as a socialist anyway, but that's all the more reason to not run a guy who agrees with them. I know a centrist Democrat congress would keep Bernie grounded just fine, but not everyone sees it that way.

It is only made worse by the economy continuing to look good. The average voter thinks Trump is good for the economy and the only other option is a socialist? I hope I'm wrong but I don't like how that election turns out.

I'm not gonna lie, I just saw that Don Lemon clip for the first time and it really pissed me off.

My friends, family and I all talk like that. I can tell you you're not going to win over rural voters by calling them stupid and mocking their accents.

He is from Louisiana, you'd think he'd know better. Don Lemon has become a wanna be celeb, the guy goes on Wendy Williams etc so I find it hard to believe that he thinks of himself as a serious journalist anymore.

Age?

Biden for the lulz. I think it could be Booker.

Yeah too young.

Booker could be good but I think he has implied he will pick a woman and probably has to after the Warren debacle. Just never read a topic about his VP pick on r/sandersforpresident. Their ideas will make you want to vomit.

Would be funny if Sanders was going to consider Warren for VP until her campaign tried to smear him.

It was leaked that he looked into whether she could be both VP and Treasury Sec so he definitely was considering her. They seemed to have got passed this and were seen appearing to be getting along fine so I don't think it would prevent him from picking her.

Still don't think it makes that much sense to me. Similar base and both from New England. Just doesn't seem to add much to the ticket in terms of adding votes.

By reporting things he's admitted to saying?

He didn't admit to it, that's BS! It's not like Warren wouldn't lie, she's done it several times before. The native American thing, lying about being fired when she quit just to make herself sound like more of a victim, continuing to lie about the wage gap etc.

Whenever a voter doesn't kiss Biden's ass he tells them to go vote for someone else, this is the guy some people think is a sure bet against Trump?

Did not mention the time she yelled at someone in traffic in 1987 and called them an a******, demonstrable lie, 2.5/10.

If only there were some sure that tracked how generally truthful politicians are, we can back up your reasoned hypothesis about Warren being a rampant liar and Bernie being the single source of truth... Oh.

Well, on the bright side, you can always go back to "shady" like with Kamala and Hillary (who, admittedly, is).

LOL Those lists are a joke, did you see the things they are quoting her saying? I'm not reading the entire thing but the fact that they haven't added any false claims when she has absolutely made some means either the list is incomplete or they are just ignoring them.

Bernie has said many times in public that a woman could be elected president, what she is accusing him of saying is totally out of character for him. The fact that her camp leaked it to CNN (something their anchors even admit) the day before a debate is shady as hell. She'd be a million times better than Trump but she absolutely has lied.

Yes Hillary is shady as F but Harris is as well, she refused to prosecute Steve Mnuchin's OneWest bank when there was plenty of reason to do so and then he turns around and donates to her senate campaign, she had no response to the true representation of her record that Tulsi Gabbard pointed out and she set up that fake "heartfelt" attack against Biden for being against federally mandated busing, an opinion it turned out she shares even though she had t-shirts printed up trying to play it up before the debate even happened. She had more donations from billionaires than any other candidate while she was in the race and more than once gave an answer to try to appeal to progressives during a debate or town hall only to walk it back the next day and pretend she couldn't hear the question or didn't understand it. She even laughed during a townhall when a supporter called Trump mentally r******d and then later apologized saying again that she didn't hear what he said, someone needs to buy her a miracle-ear! lol.

When even Faux News can't hold back a laugh and has to cut him off. This is what they do though - Fox barely shows Trump. I'm surprised they even showed him live. They usually just hand pick the fleeting moments of coherent thoughts and clip them together as news. If you ever wonder why the Fox News viewer isn't turning on Trump, they simply aren't seeing 99% of his insanity.

Bernie has lied too you know. People tend to talk about politicians lying only when its someone they don't like even though they all do it. Which is why Hillary was the liar (true) and Trump was the guy who tells it like it is (hilarious)

Maybe it was just a misunderstanding? They seemed to have moved passed it. People tend to make too big of a deal about stuff like this as these people know the score. Obama vs Hillary was uglier than anything we will see this year and he still wanted her in his administration. Harris came right out of the gate attacking Biden and he keeps talking her up every chance he gets. It's been pretty tame so far anyway.

I'm pretty sure Bernie and Warren are totally past it. Most likely it was a play to get Warren back up in the polls and it flopped. If Bernie does get the nomination, Warren seems like a no-brainer choice assuming they could work together. There's no point pairing Bernie with a centrist. If Bernie wins, forget the centrist message. You better find a way to get those people to "Feel the Bern" or we're discussing Don Jr being named supreme leader in 2024 and me moving to Canada.

But what is the advantage? It doesn't help in any state and doesn't help drive any group to the polls. Are we sure the black turnout will be great for Bernie?

That's why I don't want the pick to be Bernie. You can't "round out" Bernie with a VP. Bernie is Bernie and if you nominate him, you better go out and get everyone under age 35 to vote for him if you want a chance to win.
