When did he start with the magic hand waving speech technique moving hands apart, together, apart repeatedly? It seems like something he started kind of recently in the last year. It's a strange part of his crude speech toolbox.
Probably a subconscious attempt at distraction because he has a poor vocabulary, lies, and a very early elementary education. He was never really in the public eye with a crowd and giving a speech. That's fairly recent. Look at old interviews and he was more... human. I bet it probably started on The Apprentice.
Hopefully he gets whatever help he needs to deal with whatever caused this, and if he hit a woman, hopefully as part of the recovery he gets to go to jail for a long ass time.
