Microsoft should have countered by announcing a new Kinect with TV control and DVR features.
Odd that MS rocked E3 this year, and Sony was a no show. Sony and MS are a no show at the VGA, and suddenly MS is closing down Xbox, again. MS has 4 first party AAA bangers slated for the first half of 2023.
MS gave us a massive E3. Sony didn't show up at E3. MS didn't go to VGA. Sony didn't announce single new Sony studio first party game for our PS5 in 2023 or later, and Spider-Man 2, the only 2023 game they have announced, was a no show again last night.
Exactly, pretty much nothing for 6 months while Sony continues to hold state of plays and were there yesterday (even though nothing really interested me). Was great to see some interesting current gen only multi plat games.
I'm sure they'll show stuff when they're ready, but to be completely absent with a supposedly big year around the corner kinda sucked and there's a lot of pissed fans feeling the same.

Having to stand there and listen to the voice actor's self-indulgent, never-ending speech probably took years off of his remaining life.
That set the tone for the whole thing, and it’s the main reason most award shows suck.
I can't wait for Armored Core. I just hope there's a lot of suit abilities, upgrades and customization. I also hope for fastpaced combat in large arenas, not sure if they're going open world or not. Co-op would be cool but if they focus on a deep single player experience I'll be happy.

Since when has the Gaming Awards even been a thing? These shows don't matter because... Youtube and the internet exist. I'm pretty sure this platform will handle game trailers and such fairly well.

I thought they would of more likely had something than I thought the Big N or King Sony would.
Some people try to make it like it matters but as I said yesterday sites don't even bother posting articles about who won any awards. It's just an excuse to show trailers which go online as soon as they aired so why put yourself through all the pointless filler.
This type of spinning copium is almost as bad as the salty Sony Ponies and Gow R losing.
No spinning. No one really cares about the awards hence why 98% of the conversation is "what games do you think will get shown?"
Im pretty sure the winners are greatful, and those there enjoyed it….except for that one troll.

EVERY popular gaming forum has ongoing threads about the award winners with at least one dedicated to the GOTY.
Why would MS not show anything from announced games because of the FTC? That makes no sense, it sounds like excuse making if anything. They've announced a bunch of games too early and gone too long without releasing anything and their fans are finally starting to voice their frustrations online so it sounds like Jez trying to cover MS. This lawsuit will likely take some time, are they just going to hold off on releasing any new games until the buyout is approved or denied? That was clearly not the reason.
