Thought I would resurrect this thread since we are coming into the busy time of the year, gaming wise.

I’ve been playing Xenoblade Chronicles 2 DLC: it is pretty solid, a streamlined version of the proper game. Additionally, some Destiny 2. Waiting on Assassin’s Creed Odyssey and going to grab Undertale on Switch soon.

What about you?

How are you liking BotW?

Loving it, all the lil side quest and just randomly heading in directions that I shouldn’t be with only four hearts is epically thrilling, especially when you come across lynels and guardians, they’re just wicked beast. Seeing there feint glow off in the distance helps but still scary lol

Glad you like it! Definitely one of my favorite games of the last 10 years or so. How far are you?

Wish I could tell you lol I honestly dono, I’ve been playing the game since November and just this week I came across a quest, I think it’s a quest, where you learn the lock on, dodge and perry. The top two half of the map is all black, but I have defeated the camel and gekko Devine beast and thallus probably finish the bird one lol started it but haven’t finished it. Oh but I have found the master sword but don’t have enough hearts :p

My friend finally convinced me to get MonsterHunter World for the PS4 so we could play together...game is awesome but can be a huge grind and all if you want to get really up there with your weapons for the big post Story stuff so it's taken a lot of my time...also started Detroit Become Human, pretty good even if I hate the controls(I know I can simplify them),QTE and any stuff on a timer lol...failing a few missions because of this...I am keeping my progression anyway past those chapters, besides one chapter I restarted.

Also trying to finish up Shadow of War...I like the game and the Nemesis stuff, although it can get complicated at times and seems a little broken...there's some awesome story sections outside all this Nemesis stuff and good sidequests.

Nice! I put way too much time into it. I completed all the Shrines, the DLC, and like 90% of the side quests. I was exclusively playing it for the majority of 2017. Love it.

On the MP side still playing COD WW2 and PUBG regularly.

On the SP side I seem to never finish anything I start and I still have games on my HD to get to. I’m hopeless.

Just got a 3DS about a week ago. I'm about to be in JRPG heaven. Playing Mario 3D Land and Zelda: A Link Between Worlds at the moment and then it's on to Pokemon Sun and Fire Emblem Awakening. I'm excited to get back into the handheld scene, it's a good change of pace.

As far as PS4/Switch/X1 go i'm probably going to take it easy the next couple months. I'll play Red Dead 2 but not much else. Still playing Breath of the Wild and Mario Odyssey on Switch. So many games, so little time.

Spiderman has consumed almost all of my game time, with a short break for the Forza Horizon 4 demo. I popped into the Division last night to compare it's New York with Spiderman's rendition.... I forgot how amazing it looks...

Lol, I hear you on that. I did a terrible job of completing games this year.

Lots of great games on the 3DS. I would recommend Animal Crossing: New Leaf, Xenoblade Chronicles (if you have a N3DS), Luigi's Mansion: Dark Moon, any of the Fire Emblem titles, Majora's Mask, Ocarina of Time, and Kid Icarus: Uprising. Lots of good gaming there, you're right.

My son has a 3DS I’ve thought about getting games for it many times (I like RPG’s and have seen some on DS and 3DS I would like to play) but some of them are still expensive.

Yeah, Nintendo sucks with dropping game prices. They are just now adding 2012 games to their Selects ($19.99) lineup. There are a handful of relatively cheap third-party titles available on both, though. I think you can get a majority of the Dragon Quest games preowned for a reasonable price.

Far Cry: Primal. They say average play time is about 25 hrs, but I'm 15 hrs in, and I'm sure I'll be at it for 40 hrs or so. It's one of those games where I enjoy most of the side activities and the upgrade paths, so I'll probably be playing it for a while.

I had forgotten all about it, then saw it on sale for $15, figured why not. I'm on a caveman diet, so I figured I'd play a caveman game to match. Not too many games featuring cavemen anymore, so this feels pretty unique (although it's still the Far Cry template).

There should be a Low Carb edition of Burgertime.

Is there a way to buy DS and 3DS games to play on a Switch? I plan on getting a Switch this holiday season/early next year.

Finished Tomb Raider
AC Origins while waiting for Odyssey
Until Dawn
Spider-Man
And surprisingly a decent amount of NBA 2k18

No, I don’t think so. That’s a big complaint right now - when Nintendo announce some new 3DS games, people want it on Switch instead. But by the year’s end, you’ll have Zelda, Mario, Smash, a good Mario Kart port, Splatoon 2, Xenoblade 2, and Octopath - a very solid lineup, anyway.

Shadow of the TR? How was it?

Yep, Shadow. It was pretty good, graphics were amazing and my favorite part of the game. It’s much more about puzzles and exploration which is fun but not very replayable. I still prefer TR 2013 to both Shadow and Rise.

Didn't play much for the past couple of months so finally finding time and energy to actually play. Decided to start over in Bloodborne as I never beat it when it came out (didn't get far anyways) and have been loving it the past week or so. Hoping to do the same for the Dark Souls series eventually. Odd that it took a copy of the genre (Nioh) to get me into it. Also playing some NBA 2k19 and F1 2018 as well.

Nothing coming out this fall/winter at least for the next couple of months that really interests me in a day one way, so I'll work on all the damn back log games I have first.
