I played the PS3 version for about 3 hours, but thought it was pretty boring. Pushing garbage cans around; dropping ladders and what have you. I never bothered with the PS4 version, but I'm debating giving this version a shot because the graphics look so damn good.

Damn, this is a poster name I haven't seen in a while 👀

And yes you should.

That's what happened with me, I got bored when I played it on PS3 but people kept telling me "get past a certain part and it gets much better" and it did once the PS4 remaster came out. It's now one of my favorite games of all time, it's worth the time to put into it if you like a good story.

The Last of Us Part 1 frame rate test showing the framerate/fps on PS5 in the 30fps, 40fps and 60fps modes.

The version tested was 1.001.000. The 40fps mode footage was captured at 1080p due to capture card limitations.

Timestamps:
00:00 - Performance Mode
15:07 - 40fps Fidelity Mode
30:16 - 30fps Fidelity Mode

PS5 in performance mode renders at a native resolution of 2560x1440.

PS5 in both fidelity modes renders at a native resolution of 3840x2160.

On a VRR display it is possible to unlock the performance and fidelity modes which allows the framerate to go above 60fps and 40fps respectively. This isn't shown in the video here due to capture card limitations.

I usually don't have issues with 30fps, but the Fidelity version hurts my head. Don't know if it's frame pacing or what, but I just played it at 60fps. It barely looks different too. The post effects soften the image enough that the 4k mode is not Worth it for IQ either.

Also been playing the Quarry on the X and had no issues at 30fps. That game is a real looker too.

I can't do 30fps anymore. I'm too used to 60fps now lol. Part of the reason why I'm barely playing RDR 2. They really need to patch in 60fps ugh.

Been playing TLOU 2 and I think it looks better than this remake. Some few improvements were made, but overall 2 just looks better
