Bet it doesn't. I bet it sells more than TLOU did on PS3. Fake outrage is fake and most saying they wont buy it will buy it.
Comments switched off.. likes/dislikes number not being shown. Banning videos, rushing the game to gold...
Sony has had to go full defensive mode with arguably their biggest release this gen.
I've been wrong countless times in my life, so I'm not a betting man.
I do think it'll "flop" in regards to Sony's expectations though.

They don't want spoilers in the comments, people were posting them in the AC Valhalla art thing that happened last week for crying out loud, some of these people are going way too far.
The only way to tell is if it was a big flop and that's not going to happen, supposedly when they announced the new release date pre-orders shot up in a big way. Of course digitally they'd be repeated pre-orders because the original pre-orders were all refunded when the game was delayed. Right now on the US Amazon it's the 7the best selling console game overall (a couple ahead of it are highly discounted) and the 2nd best selling PS4 game after FFVII remake so it's probably going to do pretty well.
It’s true. When talking about a game like this you will never know the impact because it won’t flop. Sales will be impacted though for sure.
It’s a lot like the last Star Wars trilogy that was handled as poorly as possible but the last movie still made over a billion. But you don’t need proof to know it could have made a lot more

Abby kills Joel with a golf club, Abby isn't confirmed to be trans and Ellie isn't killed from what I've read and seen. Unless it's changed the cinematics I have seen prove Ellie isn't dead.

Yeah unless the game-play falls off a cliff, no way this game flops. I'd wager it sells at least 2 million to 4 million copies, in its first 30 days.
Oh I've seen, she doesn't have a manly voice at all though so I'm thinking maybe she just took steroids and trained like crazy to go after the man that killed her father. She very well could be trans but there's already another trans character in the game and it would be odd to have 2 in one game, I wouldn't put it past Druckmann but being a gay guy from LA I've never knowingly met 1 trans person and this game that takes place during a time when most of humanity is gone will somehow find a way to hook two up together? Oh well we'll see, I'm not as down on the game as I was last week but I still don't like Joel being dead. I do think maybe we all sympathized with him so much in the last game that we forget he didn't want to take Ellie to begin with and that we know virtually nothing about what he did between the time of his daughters death and the time he meets Ellie.
What was so great about the story from the first game was Joel's unconditional love for Ellie as if she were his daughter. Remember, Joel lost his family during the outbreak.

Just preordered the digital deluxe edition last night. Can't wait to get into this to end this gen. The Last of Us ended the PS3 era with a bang and I'm hoping this will be the same for the PS4 era.
