It’s about more than that, but it’s reached a fever pitch and I feel like lots of people are now jumping on the hate-wagon, because it’s the cool thing to do.
I think the game looks amazing, and I’m sure it will be GOTY. I don’t personally care what any of the characters are, or who they do.
However, once you know what happens in the game, I think it’s easier to understand the uproar. There are some very forced things that have no reason to be in the game other than for the sake of making a statement. I don’t know if it’s an ‘agenda’ that’s being pushed, but the game doesn’t give you any other options so you have no choice.
For example, imagine if Halo had a chapter where MC got Lou Gehrig’s Disease, and you had to
confined to a wheelchair. I’d still play the game, but I’d be like ‘Is this really a necessary part of the game?’
I mentioned before about the new Jay and Silent Bob movie that I was so excited to see. I like most of Kevin Smith’s movies, but in this one the main female character (his real-life daughter) is bi-sexual, and has a deaf African-American girl as a GF. They both have severe Daddy issues. Most of the time I was just sitting there like ‘why is this necessary in this movie?’
I have nothing against these subjects matters, but I can understand the objections when they are forced on you, when this was never the case with the other games/movies.
