The Last of Us Part 2 - New Trailer Contains Spoilers

Hmm...are you guys getting Dina and Abby confused??

Abby looks like she has been ripping apart infected with her bare hands....

when you first meet her her shoulders are wider than most guys I train with at the gym!

Dina though....girl has thighs for days.

So I've played and beaten the game now, spoilers are fair game, so what was it exactly you found so offensive about this game? I don't even know what agenda you think the game was pushing. I am hoping you take the opportunity to express your views in a judgement free environment.

Game has Gays. Game bad. Naughty Dog bad for putting gays in game.

People have been upset and claiming they have an agenda since the trailer showing Ellie kissing Dina came out. Its why people made false claims about the story when the leaks started.

Oh, ok. Otherwise, in general, Dina doesn't look thick like Abby.
Speaking of playing as Abby and Joel as well as Ellie.....how is it that two years ago Naughty Dog said that Ellie is the only playable character?

The Last of Us Part 2: Ellie Is The Only Playable Character

We don't have a no holds barred judgment free environment so I won't.

FFS... Well, I don't even know what you're offended by because you're too afraid to even say anything, but I would say with near certainty it's overblown...

It's obviously not just the gay component. Ellie's sexual orientation was revealed in the Left Behind DLC and that never got spurned. I know where most of the outrage stems from but I think it's kind of lame to hate on the game because the story doesn't play out the way people wanted it to. If anything I appreciated that they sort of deliberately mislead us because that moment (at least the lead up to it) came as quite a shock because I had not expected it to be happening. I commend them for the misdirect... as to whether the tail end of the game is good or not or if the ending is well done, that's a different story, but I'm not upset about the opening of the game in the slightest and people up in arms about that are kinda being huge babies about it.

For many it is simply the gay component. Some people have legit complaints for sure but for someone like Val its 100% the gay thing as he has complained about it in the past. He thinks being gay is wrong and wanted the option to turn off offensive things in the game. The offensive thing being 2 girls kissing.

I've never met a straight guy not appreciating seeing two girls kiss (as long as both are feminine and not butch looking).... at the same time I've never met a straight guy (or girl) appreciate seeing two guys kiss... which is strange when I think about it.

I have a feeling if Ellie and Dina were made to look more attractive a lot of those people bitching would have kept quiet lol.

I'm sold.

If you liked the first one you will love this! The story is engaging and so is the combat! Having said that the game is pretty graphic in almost every context.

It was self-inflicted because I learned the hard way. Do NOT play this around 15 year old nephews! LMAO.

I liked the first game a lot. Looking forward to Dina's thiccness as thiccness is my weakness.

Someone post pics of Dina, por favor? Gracias.

I finished the game today, I wasn't too up on the game for about the first 35%-40% I just didn't find Dina interesting at all, she actually annoyed me but once the game started going more and other story elements matured I really started to like it. Still isn't as good as the first one but I guess it's not fair to compare them since they aren't telling the exact same story over again. I'd probably give this a 9, the first one is an 11 out of 10 though :)

The first game not only told a better, far more interesting story, but it was also, at the time, unique in many ways whereas this game really doesn't add much to the gameplay. Things like going prone and rope navigation puzzles are the biggest changes to the formula and they're neigh on trivial in the grand scheme of things. The impact on gameplay adding a "jump" button had was negligible compared to what they suggested it does for the game. That said, I certainly don't hate the game as much as so many others do, justifying the events of the previous game as some sort of argument against how this one's narrative plays out.

Some of the things they were going for fell flat for me and some of the things I assume they thought were deep and meaningful I didn't give 2 seconds of thought to, but if anything I think the big controversial moment in the game is one of the ballsiest things the game does and I have no grievances with it whatsoever. I went to the subreddit and had a pretty good laugh at all the memes though. The ending is lame AF, not even because of how it goes down, but mostly in just how it's unnecessarily dragged out for way too long. The game by no means deserves the level of acclaim it's getting though. I'd give this game a 7.2 if I'm feeling generous, by no means a masterpiece. Everyone who hates it seems to only hate it because of the story, and same with those who are loving it, but the story should never be the only factor in scoring a game, so...

The downgrade videos going around surprised me. It's near ubisoft level downgrade in some scenes from the 2018 build. Lighting, shadows, and even textures took a hit.
