Official Thread The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild (Wii U/Switch)

Experience is more than something a person sees.
It will very likely be improved over the Wii U version but offer the same gameplay experience.
It might not be a port that pushes the NX though as its a launch title.

Guided demo, about 45 minutes long. I didn't watch the whole thing, but what I did watch was entertaining. I got a feel for the early gameplay, and a few tips.

As someone who's never played through a Zelda game, it seems weird to not have voiced characters in an RPG -- to have those little pop-up word bubbles for everything. I guess they're staying true to the heritage, though.

This is the Zelda game I've been waiting for since Majora's mask.

I haven't played one since Wind Waker.

Game looks great, IMO. I am looking forward to seeing the NX version. Hopefully it is well optimized for it, as there should be substantially more power to work with regardless of whether it's @ Neo power, or just Xbox One.

Looks amazing. Wii U or NX version, doesn't matter to me. Zelda is like the pinnacle of pinnacles to me.

I have no doubt this game will do well in sales. There seems to be a fair balance of familiarity along with newness. Disappointing that it will be the same on NX as WiiU, but then again maybe Nintendo will finally do a proper discounted price on WiiU when NX comes out and I could see myself just buying a WiiU and get all the Nintendo I need and have been missing for awhile.

I was actually more than ready to get a WiiU the past 2 Christmas's and because they never offered a good deal I ended up getting a 2nd PS4 so I wouldn't have to share time on it with the kids. I really want to like Nintendo but they have yet to do something that is enough to bring me back to them. All I can say is that NX better have a normal controller or they have lost me again.

I think it'll be a convergence of all the time lines and chronologically the last one.

Not surprisingly, it won GAF readers' Game of the Show, both by counting total votes and by counting most #1 votes (passion award):

Nah they are just anti-Microsoft, that's for sure.

It was no-brainer. Breath of the Wild was single most discussed game of E3.

Game will when all types of GOTY awards when it launches.

For me, this game is an "About f***ing time Nintendo! You were my childhood, and you dragged your heels with gimmicky s***!"

The more I see, the more I feel that Nintendo is back!

Now make a Final Fantasy style Pokemon!

The art direction is so damn good.

It's beyond good. Zelda: Breath Of The Wild is the breath of fresh air i need and that's not just a cheap TD pop. This is the pinnacle of gaming, and you fail as a gamer if you don't want it. That's all i got. But that's all you need to know.

It's going to be another great Nintendo game as usual, they have been making great games for decades.

In before "Now if they'd just make a good console to go with the good games we'd be all set!" Which is kinda true, i don't think any other company could get away with sub par hardware and features like Nintendo does. Man, i really hope the NX is awesome.
