Epic Games has seemingly given up on trying to make the playing field level in Fortnite across all platforms, with the recent discovery version 8.10 no longer matches Switch users with Xbox One and PlayStation 4 cross-play parties.

Prior to this update, solo Switch players were able to play with and against users on rival platforms and now owners of Nintendo's hybrid device will be limited to the mobile pool, fighting to the end for a battle royale victory against iOS and Android users. According to Epic, it'll be a better experience for everyone this way.

While some may disagree with this decision, for a long time now, the Switch iteration has been accused of not being able to keep up with the competition due to performance issues and a 30fps cap. At the start of this year, a bullet glitch was even discovered by Digital Foundry, revealing how higher performing versions of the game (on other platforms) had an advantage in battle - with the gunfire rates in these versions able to deal more damage per second than 30fps versions.

Ah man... this topic had died a quick death after sunset was banned

If you’ve noticed some issues with Fortniteon Xbox One today then Kinect could be to blame. Epic Games is encouraging Fortnite players to disconnect their Kinect camera due to “stability issues” when starting up Fortnite. The issues appear to have started happening today, just as the 10th season of Fortnite, dubbed season X, began. “We’re investigating a fix for this issue, but players can work around it in the meantime by disconnecting their Kinect,” says Epic Games on Twitter.

Better fix is to stop playing Fortnite

Heard about the event they just did. As much as I don’t care for the game I thought that was pretty cool. Lol @ their fans having to sit around and wait....

I am happy for Ninja but he is a Man child. Ranting & blaming others when he lost. He isn't even that good, & didn't qualify for Fornite Worldcup. But whatever.

I am just back, but why is Sunset banned?

I used to be the anti-Fortnite team until I decided to give it a go.

Turns out, it quickly becomes 1 of my favorite games of all time, & what I considered it Game of the generation. If you disagree with me, then you are wrong.

I avoid PvP games, especially shooter, as I will get nervous when competing (& exams) & the last time I tried a PVP shooter, it was soul-crushing. I had 1 kill (not win) in an hour of deathmatch in Halo 2...I swore never to touch a PVP shooter.

In my first game of Fortnite, I literally got killed 2 sec off landing off my guilder. I was like "oh will, same old" But shocking to myself, I got my first solo victory Royale pretty early, & after trying team base Fortnite, I started really loving it. In 2 months since I started I raked up already 100s of victories & making as many friends, some which I play regularly.
Playing solo is nice, but squad-based game mode is what makes the game shine for me, & unlike most "squad base" game. I am more of a team player than solo.

I actually feel like in an actual squad & working as a team matters. I was trained as a squad leader during my conscript military service & in a way Fortnite reminds me of my younger days of being thrown into the middle of the jungle with a backpack, M16, Radio. compass & paper-map with a squad to make my way to objectives.

I think loot sharing & no respawn make the differences. A team with balance gears matters. And because your teammate can't respawn, it's very important to make sure everyone is well stocked up on health & weapons, in effort to keep everyone alive. These concepts are not new but I think its implemented well in Fortnite.

In a way, that's why I am excited about warfare, but I need to build a regular friend list to party, as playing with Randoms who never speaks /which is 90% of the time) & leave the game the moment they dead make the game frustrating at times.

The cars are fun, like GTA. Have a blast playing with my friends yesterday. Hate Fortnite all your want, name another BR, or any live service game for that matter, that updates every week. every damn week!

Also, Epic use the money from Fortnite & throw free stuff every month to UE4 developers, & free game every week to gamers. I am just sad they took 10cent money.

Is Apple getting along with anyone?

It'd be a real shame if something happened to your app there... we've got insurance for you for just 30% of your revenue. Whatta steal, fuhgeddaboutit.
